Miche Campy Splined 13-28 9-Speed Cassette

Nine speed cassettes are becoming obsolescent. All my bikes are Campagnolo equipped but the sprockets wear just like any other brand and new sprockets, if found, are exorbitantly expensive. Miche has the identical replacement at less than half the price and work perfectly. In this case the top two cogs were damaged, assumedly in transit. Almost unused top sprockets from an otherwise worn out Campagnolo 9 fitted perfectly. Shifting is as Campagnolo, impeccable.

I bought a Miche 9-speed cassette in March. I'd always used Campagnolo in the past, but I was having a hard time finding any Campagnolo cassettes with a 28-tooth cog in stock, so I figured I'd try the generic alternative. Replaced the chain and chainrings at the same time. All worked fine.Chain started skipping under hard acceleration (climbing hills, and starting from a stop) in the most-used cogs in mid-August. Skipping gradually got worse over the next couple of weeks. I replaced the cassette today, with a genuine Campagnolo.The problem is that I only put about 2000 miles on this bike between March and August. Having a cassette wear out that quickly is just not acceptable. (I expect to get 7000-10000 miles from a cassette, with a couple of chain changes in between.) I won't buy Miche again.

A friend need to some help with Campy gears. Some bozo bike shop had set her up with an expensive Mavic wheel with a Shimano hub and cassette to go with her Campy 9 speed record groupo. It sort of shifted OK sometimes. Found her a deal on some Campy wheels, bought this inexpensive cassette to go with the new compact crank I installed and it works perfectly and she is delighted. this could certainly be lighter but that's not part of the price.

Unfortunately my tool for the cassette lock did not fit, I had to use the old lock back otherwise a good buy
