This product was even better than I'd hoped for. I used the silver and white for a cosplay costume, and it was AMAZING. The best comparison I can make is that it has the consistency of icing that you would use on a birthday cake, which makes it easy to work with. Because it is so spreadable, you can really work it into your hair. My hair is dark, almost black, and I have neon green tips. The second pic shows my natural color, so you can see the difference. The character I was playing has salt and pepper hair. The first pic shows the results on my dark hair, and the character I was cosplaying so you can see (Yeah, it's way long. I started growing it out after covid in Feb 2020, and now I have long rockstar hair) I did not want to use the color hair spray that you get at Wal-Mart or Spirit Halloween because it makes your hair crunchy. This product was not like that at all. I used just enough to tone my hair so that it had the look I wanted. It even masked my neon green tips. Once it was on, my hair was soft, but it also kept its shape (I wanted it to be kind of wavy). It smells great too! It washes out like any other hair product. No trouble. Just some shampoo, and it was gone. No residue on my hands from applying it, none in the sink when I washed my hands after putting it in, and none in the shower after I washed my hair. It stayed on for the whole day and the entire next day too. I didn't notice that it rubbed off on anything. When I slept with it overnight, it did not get on my pillowcase at all, which kind of surprised me. It did not come off on my skin when I sweated either, and I totally sweated because my costume was all a real leather biker jacket in 100 degrees summer heat. My advice -- Apply on wet hair. I wore this in my hair three days. The first day, I applied it with wet hair out of the shower, and the second day, I used it with dry hair. The application was easier and results better when I applied it on wet hair. I don't think your hair is going to be as brightly colored as the pictures show, but you will definitely have color. I don't know about the other colors, but I was super pleased with the white and silver. I will use this in the future for other cosplay and even for some cool looks. I will probably try the other colors too. For the cost, it is a great product.

I really enjoy using these color hair waxes — especially the white and silver. They’re great not only for costumes or events, but also just for everyday fun. I joke that they’re like a mood ring for your hair, because I’ll match the color to my shirt or to how I’m feeling that day. This wax gives strong, visible color even on darker hair, and it also works as a styling product since it has the texture of a regular hair wax. It holds your hair in place nicely. A couple things to know: It does make your hair feel a little dry, but that’s normal for wax-based products. The color is NOT permanent at all — people often assume it’s a dye, but it washes out immediately. Just running water through your hair basically removes most of it, and a quick shampoo gets rid of the rest. Overall, it’s a fun, easy, and super versatile way to change up your look without committing to anything permanent. Highly recommend if you want something playful, creative, and low-effort.

I figured this would be easier on my light hair, but maybe it works better on dark hair, because I've run three layers of this goop into my hair and I don't see any white. Half the container is gone, it smells weird, and my hair is crunchy, but not white.

I tried both the silver and light pink colors. Both deposited color well over both the dark brown and blonde parts of my hair. The pink color is really pretty. However it made my hair stiff and tangled. There was no “brushing and styling as usual” happening whatsoever after applying, as the video instructions state. The advertised photos of brushed and styled hair with even color are definitely misleading. I used a wet brush on my hair while the gel was still wet. It was doable, but I could only do so much to direct the hair. It was very tangly, even brushing in small sections. I brushed a section after the gel dried, too, but it was really difficult to do without ripping my hair — and it left my hair dull and tacky, so I decided to abort mission and just leave it looking wet. As you can see in the photos, when brushing dry, the color flakes off all over the place and reduces coverage on the hair. My blonde began showing through, and the pink looked patchy. The brushed hair was still stiff, and touching it left metallic pigment on my hands (see photo) and brushes. That said, this does rinse out very easily, from hair, skin and brushes. And it’s great if you want the gel look and don’t mind everything that comes with that (stiffness and inability to adjust style, part, etc. after it’s applied). I loved how my hair looked in pink so I ultimately embraced the wet look and had fun with it. Had I known how inflexible styling would be from there, though, I would have taken a different approach to the application. Giving it 3 stars bc it worked for my one night of fun, but it wasn’t quite as advertised. If you want to brush and style your hair, with vibrant, even color, this is not the product.

This hair color wax in gray transfers onto clothing a great deal. I wore my uniform to work two times with fresh applications. The first time the color transfer was visible because it dotted all over my shoulders. I used a blow dryer for that application..The second time after washing out completely and reapplying the wax I let my hair air dry. Big mistake my hair painted the dye all over the back of my uniform. Also, I wanted more hues of gray so I used 2 brands. So , that means I should have dried my hair thoroughly. And, I can add more colors such as a charcoal gray next time, since the wax is made in many colors. What I do like is the way this wax goes onto hair and changes the color immediately. There is no waiting to see how the color looks in the hair and it stays in the hair to wear right after drying it. This wax washes out completely with shampoo and is not damaging to the hair.

At first, I was skeptical due to the mixed reviews of this product but decided to buy and try it for myself. So far, I love it ! Just for transparency, my hair is bleached but I use the white color wax when my new growth starts to come in and I don’t like the shadowy roots look on my hair. It’s good for a temporary but clean look and it washes out with shampoo without staining your clothes etc. Apply it on dry hair for better results.

I bought this specifically for Halloween because I wanted white locs, and it absolutely came through! I wore it while working on our food trailer and felt like I had my dream hair for the day. 😂 I had been searching for something that would actually work on dreadlocks, and this showed up beautifully on mine. The white was noticeable and gave me exactly the look I wanted. I was so happy with the results! If you’re wondering whether it works on locs, YES!

I wish I had taken a picture of the nightmare my hair had looked like. Let me preface this with: I am white and have light brown, semi-wavy hair. So maybe this product is just not for white people hair… I watched numerous YouTube videos, read all the instructions, and made sure I knew how to apply this product. I don’t box dye and haven’t had my hair professionally dyed in years, so my hair is essentially “virgin” at this point. It was easy to put on. Slathered it on in less than a half hour, considering I have mid-back length hair. I put the entire container in my hair, made sure it was in all the strands and roots. And then went to brush and blow dry and was when it went to hell. It was incredibly painful to brush through since it’s wax, but everything I read/watched encouraged that to make sure it was thoroughly in the hair. It instantly made my hair poofy and frizzy. I looked like Hermione Granger from the first Harry Potter movie. I mentioned my hair is semi-wavy so I am used to knots- but this was so painful I was crying. And by the time it was done and dried and brushed through, half the product had come out leaving chunks of hair undyed. I’m giving it 2 stars because it was easy to use, smells really good, came out easily, and was $10. I would give it 1 for the painful experience and how awful my hair looked when it was over. Again, maybe this product isn’t made for white people hair. If that’s the case, there should be a disclaimer and advertising shouldn’t have white people in it. I guess I’m extra upset because I intended this to be for a special one day occasion. But geez Louise was this a nightmare. Kudos to those who can get it work- I’m jealous

This is diabolical product. The description suggests with some simple application even the darkest of hair will become a different colour. My hair colour is deep red, I applied the pink and green and in order to get this tiny tiny amount of colour I have had to use so much wax my hair is thick and solid, practically matted The only thing that has any colour is my hands - just dreadful
