the highlight on the box on Christmas Day,and what can i tell you but it is an enjoyable experience for absolutaly everyone so much that this is the duo's most fantastically hilarious adventure yet.it is surprising how detailed the storyline is given that its runtime is just under half an hour,but that is the joy of Wallace & Gromit,it has so much ligh heated humour for you to take in you can enjoy it way more than once.this is full of references to popular culture and other films such as (Ghost,Aiens,and even The Matrix)and with a 'cereal' killer on the loose the possibilities of slapstick is endless, and it delivers by the mill load.it was so great that this aired at the end of such a fabulous day so all my family could sit and watch it after unwrappng the tree presents,having some tea, and a slice of Chritmas Cake.a true natured special episode that i cannot wait to see again,nd again,and you get the idea.highly recommended purchase.

Our favourite stop-motion characters are back and Wallace falls in love for the third time ... Again his love is not to be. Gromit, however, seems to fair a bit better (what did you expect?).This fourth short film is BUSY. Several times I had to rewind to catch all the action. And clever! You need to keep an eye on background detail, because nothing is left unconsidered.Being a devoted fan of Wallace & Gromit, my review is probably in danger of being somewhat one-sided - I refuse to find any fault with this outing. Thinking that it might be over-priced for a half-hour film, I'm glad I paid the price anyway. You cannot really put a price on such a gem!Nick Park and his collaborators from Aardman once again brought these lovable characters to life with the patience and care we've become spoiled with in the previous three outings. (Not to mention the magnificent achievement in the Were-Rabbit movie.)

I'd been after this DVD since I heard about A Matter of Loaf and Death. Once the order was placed it arrived in next to no time, and we put it on almost immediately. Laughed and laughed! It's fun, funny and technically very clever. There's a lovely hint of Hitchcock in the visuals. Poor Wallace falls for the wrong woman yet again. Gromit puts up with a lot yet again, and shows just what a faithful friend he is. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Both are equal stars in the quintessential English animation, so for once lets reverse positional prominence! Anyway, this latest outing is up there with the rest of them. It has all the sight gags, Northern English humour etc. It may not be the absolute best of the series but is certainly up their with them; ranking of the whole series will probably come down to personal preference anyway, but its content is of the very high standard set previously. I saw it in Blu Ray and it does look very good. (According to other reviewers, the earlier Wallace and Gromit outings in Blu Ray show up a bit too much detail of the animator's thumb prints etc.).

potentially the plasticine world of W&G could generate thousand stories, but our guys just produced a bunch of fantastic films.As usual the technique and visual creativity of the scenes is as delicious as amazing, and it is all conducted with a mix of naif and gentleness ad some crazy and anarchic spirit that comes up every now and then, in the unexpected action and reaction of the characters and some subtext where you can tell who made these films is not a bunch of innocent guys.A mix that makes this film, too, enjoyable by everyone and intelligent as well.Blu ray is of course excellent

Yet another outstanding outing for the dynamic duo. Peter Sallis is a living legend. Lots of in-jokes involving British popular culture and Northern ways (which might be lost on an International audience) - but not a problem if you're a fan anyway. Unfortunately it is only just over 30 minutes long - but every minute is worth it. Think of it as a cross between Last Of The Summer Wine & a 1950's Ealing Comedy!

One of the greatest Wallace and Gromit films. They may be made out of clay, but both Wallace and Gromit show so much passion. Whiles the female puddle is so cute and emotional.I don't like Miss Piella Bakewell that much. She is to cruel but that adds to the excitement to the film.

Excellent DVD et le fait qu'il ne soit que en anglais n'est pas dérangeant. Au contraire, il contient des bonus et etait introuvable en France (inédit). Donc très satisfait de l'achat.

Wer Wallace and Gromit erwartet, der BEKOMMT Wallace and Gromit. Viiieel davon! Cracking Contraptions! Love and Romance! Electronics for Dogs! Backwaren und Serienmörder! Atemberaubendes Tempo! Genau so muss das!Vielleicht war es gerade die Entscheidung, nach dem (ebenso fantastischen) Kinofilm den nächsten W&G wieder als 30-min-"Kurz"film zu drehen, die zu der gewohnt perfekten Dichte der Handlung führte. Bei meinen unvermeidlich hohen Erwartungen an den neuen W&G bin ich erleichtert und begeistert, dass die beiden immer noch keinen Staub angesetzt haben. Die Figuren sind die beiden liebenswerten Helden geblieben, die wir kennen, und ihre neueste Unternehmung ist abermals technisch beeindruckend, aber jedes Aufgreifen eines altbekannten Motivs (wie Wallaces Aufsteh-und-Ankleidehilfe) ist so brillant variiert, dass nirgends das Gefühl eines Abklatsches auf ältere Episoden aufkommt. Eins schien mir allerdings neu zu sein: "Loaf and Death" enthält auffallend viele Wortwitze (puns), die z.T. schon Schenkelklopfergüte erreichen, wenn Wallace sich z.B. vorstellt mit: "I'm in bread me self" (-> "I'm inbred myself"!) Exactly my "cup of tea"! Herrlich!€18,- für 30min Film sind zwar nicht gerade billig, aber dafür entschuldigt die technische Perfektion. Ich habe schon so lange W&G immer wieder von Video und DVD gesehen, dass ich ganz vergessen hatte, wie enorm die zusätzliche Auflösung des Kinoerlebnisses beeindruckt: Auch auf der Blu-ray sieht man die Fingerabdrücke der Animatoren auf der Knete - allerdings ohne dass das Bild dadurch an Glaubwürdigkeit verliert. So kommt man nämlich dazu, die volle Liebe zum Detail in den Kulissen und Requisiten zu genießen.Bleibt also die Frage, warum nach der deutsch synchronisierten DVD noch keine deutsche Blu-ray auf dem Markt ist... nicht, dass echte W&G-Enthusiasten das kümmern würde, denn Peter Sallis ist mit seiner britisch-schrulligen Art einfach nicht zu toppen - aber für das gemeinsame Filmerlebnis mit weniger anglophilen Freunden hätte ich schon lieber die deutsch Synchro im Ärmel...FAZIT: Absolut verdiente 5 Sterne für ein weiteres "Cracking Adventure"! Put the kettle on, Gromit!

Had been wanting this video for a while, not disappointed! Arrived on time, if you are a Wallace & Gromit fan, this a must have. Make sure your DVD player plays Region 2 DVDS.

Great entertainment for the whole family! My grandkids enjoyed it loafed their heads off!...

Cute movie, very simple plot although the extremely creative studio that made this film were able to squeeze in a couple of really nice Hitchcockian moments. A real pleasure to watch with the whole family, both the movie and how it was created. Such an involved process!
