Gleaming: The Art of Laia Lopez (English and Castillian Edition)

I follow the artist on Instagram and have for some time. I’ve seen her artwork sprinkled around the internet on Pinterest and in people’s profile pictures. I love itslopez and her artwork. She is able to capture such personality in her own style—regardless if it’s chibi, childish/cubby looking, or just normal.I read the book as soon as I got it and spent so much time on each page, analyzing the smallest details and appreciating everything. The author made me want to improve my own stills. She wrote with such a starry eyed view on everything and that made it so nice to read. I read it with Father and with my friends.The book is hardcover and the pages are thick making it heavy—reminding me of a trophy.Please buy this book and dive into the simplistic and mesmerizing journey of Laia Lopez.

Illustrations are beautiful and it is really inspiring me in my own craft. Cover, pages and binding are all of great quality. Really recommend this book if you are interested in character design or if you simply want it as a nice coffee table book.

Having worked in books from libraries to book stores I can tell when a book is just plain old used.From the filthy spine to the well used jacket, this wasn’t a “New” item.Lopez’s art is gorgeous however and the contents are wonderful.My rating is more for the dishonest seller.

Beautiful book with good information and tips. I bought it for my 12 year old daughter who sketches and she loves it.

Such a beautiful large book, packed full of Laia Lopez illustrations. I’m an avid art book collector and I can easily seeing this becoming a favourite. It’s more of a showcase of work as opposed to a step by step tutorial which was exactly what I wanted.

Best book ever. Beautifully presented and art work is even better. However, it’s not a tutorial book if that’s what you were looking for, more of a showcase of her work.

El libro es maravilloso. Todo el proceso de la artista se ve reflejado en el libro. Trae muchos de sus trabajos y te cuenta cómo los enfocó y qué metodo siguió. Es precioso. Si te gusta el kpop también lo vas a disfrutar mucho. Pero Amazon no sabe envolver los libros. Te ponen una caja enorme y un trocito de papel para “amortiguar”. Las esquinas han llegado machacadas y las tapas rascadas. Un papel de burbuja hubiera sido mejor. 🤷🏻‍♀️
