A nice piece of kit!
Vodafone UK currently only offer this particular device on their website as Pay Monthly. If you want a PAYG model, you get the lower specced R203.Read the manual when setting it up and you won't go wrong - in borderline areas set the device to 3G only to start with and see how you go on. If you use the 'any' connection option you will likely suffer numerous drop-outs.It isn't that clear from the manual, but this device can be used as a 3G wired dongle thru the USB lead which also keeps the dongle charged. If you're looking for an upgrade from an older dongle this device is recommended.

Beware this is NOT Unlocked
First the good news, it works very well as a WiFi hotspot and delivery was fastand now the bad news, it's Locked to Vodafone even though the product description says that it is supplied unlocked. This was a big dissapointment to me as the Product description clearly states that it is Unlocked. If I'd known I could have picked one up from the Vodafone store and saved myself the wait and the delivery charge.I told the suppliers about the mistake in late August but it's still there in the product description as I write this review today. As it's PAYG Vodafone charge to unlock it as well. Not ideal when I paid the extra expecting it would be unlocked and that I'd be able to use it with local SIM cards when I travel abroad.

Disappointing
I bought this when I moved house as a stopgap before broadband was up and running. I was in rented accomodation and looking to buy so was online all day, every day.First problem was it's locked so have to use vodafone sim, costs £20 to unlock and may not work anyway.I topped up £50 in 2 weeks....very expensive. Then my debit and credit cards were disallowed so had to try to find a vodafone store in order to buy a top up card. Limitless top up via this method. But have spent £100 in 3weeks.Probably spent 2 hours on the phone trying to solve this as vodafone told me it was a problem with my bank. It wasn't, bank said I could top up as much as I wanted. Vodafone disagreed. Incompetent, at least have people who know what they're talking about on the phoneline!Incredibly expensive, inconvenient..........and worst of all nobody in customer services seem to know anything. Also phone numbers on website are not in use.I WANT MY MONEY BACK.Also it's incredibly -frustratingly!!-slow. I think some of the other reviewers might work for vodafone, can think of no other reason for the good reviews.Don't even try to watch tv or film, it cuts out and costs a fortune. All in all RUBBISH

Wish I hadn't bothered
Bought this so I could use my ipad on trips to my mother in law's, as she doesn't have Internet access. It managed to download my emails. Eventually. However any suggestion that it might like to open a web page was met with derision and a distinct lack of action. The indicator on the device was showing 5 bars, so this wasn't due to reception problems.I ended up using the Internet on my phone instead. Very small screen but at least it gets there in the same calendar year.I've given it 2 stars because it did at least do the email, but for the money I expected much, much more.

Excellent product with disappointment!
The delivery, as expected from Amazon, was on time or even sooner. The product is excellent, for I have similar unit from Vodafone since 5 or 6 years ago, which has USB cable. I mainly needed the wireless option for my IPAD and mobile when I was out and about, and out of the reach of BT hotspots. Once I had to use it at home office when the BT Broadband connection was lost. It worked very well taking care of two desktops and IPAD and Mobile phone. The product deserves 5 stars, but the 3-star rating reflects my disappointment of the inflexibility of the offer of extra 2 GB. My usage of the unit was relatively low; I had just used around 108 MB, to be let down by suddenly losing the connection when I was in terrible situation and did not know why my mobile had lost the Internet connection. I was desperate to read my e-mail, and just wondered what might had happened if I was following a map to meet someone. The remainder of the 3 GB had just evaporated, and I had to go back home to my reliable BT Broadband connection. Then I realised that exactly 2 months had passed since I had ordered the unit. So, please do not take the extra 2 GB offer in consideration, unless you were sure you would be using 3 GB within 2 months.I am keeping the unit, and will top up with as much as I require.

Great addition to any mobile broadband user
Replaced my old USB 3G stick for this and not looked back. Great flexibility and ease of use, very easy to setup and use. Highly recommended for anyone on the move. Great high quality product as you would expect from Vodafone. Great for people with multiple devices, will work with up to five devices. I have regularly been using 3 devices with no problems at all.The future of mobile broadband instead of USB adapters.

First Class Router
This router was just what I was hoping for, I had a Dongle before but now I have a faster speed for Downloading, I was sceptical when I read some reviews on sites but, I am very pleased with what I have and, would recommend this to anyone.

Mobile wi fi
Once I had paid to have the item unlocked it performed very well. Pleased with my purchase and have used it in Spain and when caravanning.
