Perfect Alternative To A Disposable Flash Bar
The Polaroid Originals Mint SX-70 Flashbar is a fantastic addition to any Polaroid SX-70 camera user's collection. I was pleasantly surprised by the results I got from this flash bar. The quality of the light was superb and gave my photos a beautifully balanced and natural look while still providing enough illumination to brighten up my shots. One of the things I appreciate about this flashbar is how easy it is to use. It snaps easily onto the top of my SX-70 camera, and the flash automatically adjusts to the lighting conditions, so I don't have to worry about complicated settings. This makes it perfect for quick snaps or capturing spontaneous moments at events or parties. The flashbar is also incredibly durable and well-made. It feels solid in my hand and has a nice weight to it. I have dropped it several times, holding it up remarkably well without damage. The flashbulbs are also sturdy and long-lasting, and I haven't experienced any issues with them burning out or not working correctly. One of the things I love most about this flashbar is its retro aesthetic. It harks back to the classic Polaroid era and is a joy to use with my SX-70 camera. It not only adds functionality to my camera but also enhances its style.Overall, I highly recommend the Polaroid Originals Mint SX-70 Flashbar. It is easy to use, durable, and produces high-quality, natural-looking light. Its retro design is also a charming bonus. If you're a fan of instant photography, this flashbar is a must-have accessory.

An excellent addition to any Polaroid camera.
Consider that buying the original flash bars will cost you around 20 dollars for 10 flashes, and you can see the value in a device that gives you as many flashes as you'd like. The flash is bright and even (watch out because the range isn't as far as you'd think, compensate using exposure settings), but takes a minute or so to charge up considering it uses only 2 AAA batteries; subsequent charges are faster until you switch it off, however. I don't think many people take Polaroids in quick succession so it isn't that debilitating. Pretty much a necessity if you have an SX-70 camera without an integrated flash, unless you only plan to take photos outside in the sun.

definitely worth the investment for a new sx70 owner
fair warning, to say i am an amateur would be a compliment. i love the sx 70 for its history, design, and the sonar model can make beautiful pictures with someone as unskilled as i behind it.that said, i am impressed by this little guy. its convenient being able to shoot either 600 or sx70 films indoors, and really havent had any issues with this unit on my sonar.a couple things i will agree with are the charging time is indeed a bit slow. maybe a lipo isnt a bad idea, or maybe a redesign may allow an extra cell. though im curious if energizer lithiums would make an impact...also, at least on my sonar model, the flash unit does feel wobbly. idk if i just have a super used camera or if the pcb is a hair thin. despite this, it does fire every timemaybe just a gripe, but since we have the magenta and chateurouse filters, a cyan would be nice too. i especially like the fact the filters are magnetic and can be stacked to get some cool effects tooall in all, from my perspective, this bar is great and considering flash bars are getting pricey (18-25$ as of this post), this thing will have paid for itself in 3-4 more packs.

Your order will be for the Mint Flashbar 2
You will receive the mint flashbar 2 and not the flashbar 1 for clarity.A note for the mint flashbar company; the qr code sticker leaves a glue residue that's difficult to remove with the qr sticker alone.I used painters tape to remove glue residual. I was afraid of using alcohol wipe due to unknown properties of outer housing.

Excellent flash for SX70
Absolutely necessary flash for SX70 cameras if you want to do any shooting thats not in direct light due to the low speed of the SX70 film(ISO 100). Just be aware you will need to adjust the lighten/darken wheel at certain distances for proper exposure. You WILL get bad shots, just accept it. It's not the flashes fault, you just need to learn the camera. This little flash eats batteries up faster than you think. I'd recommend carrying a spare set if you're going out with the camera and flash.2.5mm jack is amazing for hooking up to external flashes! Just need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor jack and PC sync cable, and get ready to spend alot on film experimenting :)

In a flash
Amazing if you don't want to mod an SX-70, set the flash to half circle put in 600 film and bam, just like it was made for that camera

Learning curve?
The media could not be loaded. I’m not sure if this product has a sharp learning curve or just doesn’t work. Doesn’t matter what lighting condition when using this product, your subject will be lit, but the background will be completely dark. I’ve tried several different situation’s, but I’ve gotten the same result. The only time I will sort of get the result I’m looking for, is in direct sunlight, but at that point why would I be using a flash? I am using out this on the original Essex 70 which is notoriously bad at low light so that could be the issue. I may get the camera converted to 600 film to see if that fixes the problem. I would also like to mention that the flash takes an extremely long time to ready up.
