Rub with Love by Tom Douglas (Crab Cake Mix, 3.5 oz)

Makes crab cakes so simple, and good!!

I was just trying something different and I’m not going to say it’s not good, but being from MD where we are the crab experts, I should have stayed traditional. It did make my crab cakes have a nice color.

Makes making crab cakes a breeze. Very well balanced taste and you get a good amount for the price. I will keep this as a pantry staple!

I use this seasoning on everything from seafood to fried rice. Tastes a tiny bit spicy, but not overpowering in any way. Chef’s kiss!

I have been a longtime user of old bay for many years, decided to give this a try because it seemed similar but may be a little less aggressive. And that is exactly how I would describe it. It's a bit more delicate and balanced, which is great for crabcakes where you don't want the spice blend to overpower the sweet taste of your crab. The only downside is that it is a fairly small container, so you're not getting nearly as much for your dollar as you would with the big namebrand similar product. I love that it comes with a recipe right on the lid, I did try it and it worked out to be delicious crabcakes.

Go easy. Very flavorful. Used it for about three years. Must have for the cupboard.
