Creature Comforts for your feet! Plus, sizing mystery solved by UGG Retail Store Manager...
These slippers are the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned! Since many customers seem to be confused as to which size they should order, here's a bit of advice for you:I live close to the Union Square Shopping District here in San Francisco. I walked over to the Downtown SF UGG Store and tried on the Ascot Slipper with Store Manager assistance. My foot measures EXACTLY size 9 D (M), so I tried on both a size 9 D (M) and a size 10 D (M). I can see why many customers are saying to buy one size up because the abundant amount of UGG PURE wool made my true size 9 D (M) feel quite snug. I noticed that the size 10 D (M) felt like it fit better at first, but after walking around the store (with regular cotton socks on) I noticed that the heal started to slip just a bit. The Store Manager said the vast majority of the UGG Ascot Slippers she sells feel tight at first, but "break in" to feel quite normal after several days of wear. To avoid excessive returns, she ALWAYS tells her customers to order their exact street shoe size, NOT one size up. So, I decided to purchase the size 9 D (M) from Amazon.com and I'm SO GLAD I didn't order the larger size! I plan on wearing my slippers with no socks, and it's important to know that I have normal (to slightly narrow) width feet. If you plan on wearing thick socks, or have wider than normal feet then you might consider ordering a size up, since half sizes aren't available (or possibly a wider size if you have wider than normal feet). Everyone's feet are unique, so you will have to decide if it makes sense to go up a size as several customers have suggested. I'm glad I didn't order a size up though, because my heal would be slipping by now if I had.I hope this sizing information helps! Give yourself the gift of comfort with these awesome slippers, they are well made, toasty warm and great for wearing around the house on chilly days.

So warm!!
The biggest question I had after reading all the other reviews was, should I err on the small side or the large side.I chose to get the slippers in my actual shoe size and trust that they would stretch to fit my feet in a week or two. I'd decided this because my last pair of slippers, also leather with wool interior, had eventually stretched so much that they were floppy. Even still, I had worn them for more than twenty years until they were practically falling off my feet. When my new UGGs arrived, they were exactly how I imagined, beautifully colored and plush with wool. I tried them on and, yup, they were tight. For the first couple of nights they were so tight that I could only wear them for an hour or so before they started to hurt my feet. So, I made a point of wearing them every morning and evening for a half hour to an hour at a time with the expectation that they would, eventually, stretch to fit me. After about a week, they were almost perfect. After 3 weeks, they're so comfortable that I often forget I'm wearing them. A couple of times I've started to walk out the door with them still on my feet before my wife reminded me that I'm still wearing my slippers.I don't know how it would be if I'd gone for a size larger but, as things are, I'm really glad I got the size I did.A man's slippers are deeply personal. They eventually become like old friends that you're glad to see after a long day's work. I expect many happy years with this pair.

You Pay for the Name
I've been dying to get these forever but I have a big foot and they don't always have them in my size. I finally got them in my size and I was pleasantly surprised that they fit quite well.Upon closer inspection of the tags in the slippers, the inner lining is made of synthetic material. When I think about UGGS, I think of Australian shearling sheepskin. I realize that they moved their production years ago to China but I still expect the product to made of sheepskin. It's not. You're paying for the name, that's all.

Quality and comfort, worth the extra money!
These are super comfortable and have kept my feet completely warm this winter. The tread on the bottom is nice because I'm able to run trash outside without having to switch shoes, as well as help keep traction on my wood and tile flooring. These are top quality shoes and worth the money. I wear a size 10.5 US and ordered an 11 because they said the sizing runs a little small. They were a little tight when I got them but have broken them in over the last two months and they fit perfectly now. If you're going to wear these WITH socks, I recommend ordering a full size larger than your normal shoe size.

Wear and tear?
My husband has been asking for these for a long time and I couldn't bring myself to buy them as they are just house shoes, and pricey. However this year I wanted to get them for him and ordered them early just in case they didn't fit. He tried them on and they fit okay, a little snug so we returned and ordered a size up. The new size fit better however the bottom sole of the shoes is very narrow and I don't see how these will hold up with around the house wear. Obviously they are "house shoes" but like normal people he intended to wear them outside as well. I can see how the sides of the big and small toe would wear down and not have a solid piece on the bottom to keep it from deteriorating. For this reason we decided to return the shoes and order a different style/brand.

These are the best slippers you can buy
Trust me, I've tried to find a slipper better than these, but they just don't exist. They're insanely warm and comfortable. You'll see a lot of conflicting info on if you should size up or not. BUY THESE TRUE TO SIZE! When you first put them on, they may feel slightly tight, but after a couple of hours, the lining shapes to your feet and they fit like a glove. Also, you should know that Ugg's website sells replacement inner soles. These slippers will last you many, many years with frequent wear, so don't throw them away if the inner lining loses it's warmth after a few years...just swap in a new one and you're good to go!

Best I’ve ever had....ever!
I started wearing slippers a few years ago (it comes to us all) and have tried many brands ranging from about £40 to over £100. I always buy genuine sheepskin as it is a natural product and your feet never smell in sheepskin. I am aware of all the hype around ugg boots so thought i would try these - they were over £100 but for strange reason, the exact same ones in black were only £71. I guess that is because black is not the iconic ugg brown? Anyway, not bothered about the fashion aspect and not caring whether i’m wearing iconic colours or not, i sent fir these. I am a size 9 so ordered size 9. As expected, they felt tight (as all good new sheepskin slippers do) but experience told me to keep them on. They softened to my feet in about an hour and fitted perfectly. I am stunned with the comfort of these slippers, they are absolutely sublime. I actually look forward to getting out of bed now so i can put them on! By far the best slippers I have ever had. My next ones will definitely be ugg....not sure how long these will last but they look like they will last a very long time as they seem extremely well made and robust.

Double check size inside slippers!
This is my first pair of Ugg slippers & the quality & make is great. They are very warm & would be very comfortable, but, after reading the reviews & some people saying to order the next size up & some saying to order your own size, I decided to order my own size 8UK. They arrived in a couple of days & looked amazing all wrapped nicely in the Ugg box. On the box it said UK size 8, perfect I thought. I took them out & tried them on. A bit tight I thought, but after reading the reviews & people saying they need a couple of days to break in & they fit perfect, I thought they will be fine. Well after a week of wearing them, they are still tight & hurt after wearing for to long, the wool inside has given a little, but for the money paid I wasn’t expecting this. Then just today I found the sizing label inside the slippers them self, I read it & it says UK size 7 so this is why they are so tight. But now after wearing them for a week I guess I can’t return them, even though it’s there fault putting size 7s in a size 8 box. Not happy with the company, but the slippers would otherwise have got 5 stars.

Worn out within weeks!
My last pair of UGG slippers lasted years but this pair are near the end of their life within weeks. The wool linning that provides the comfort and also ensures the slippers do not smell of feet has all but worn out from the sole. In may last pair that took years to happen -not weeks. I might as well have just purchased cheap supermarket slippers.I can only assume that these are fakes as none of my other UGG shoes are of this bad quality.

Comfy slippers
Second pair of UGGs that I’ve bought. I have however tried other slippers in between including the famous American old friends moccasins. I’ve been looking for something that will last but unfortunately in the end nothing does. I’ve now come back to Uggs which it must be said are extremely comfortable, very warm and just look good. However the most I’ve heard out of them is a year on previous occasion and this time I’m now only going to wear them indoors and use the beat up here for outdoors. Hopefully they’ll last a little bit longer. Although they are awesome slippers I do think they are overpriced but then again every now and again you can find them at a slightly cheaper price if you really look hard.

Really good slipper
Tight fit currently but having had sheepskin fur lined boots for many years(Just Sheepskin), they are always tight first but soon bed down. If they are not tight at first they are probably too big a size. These are superbly made, comfortable to walk on and a really nice rubber type sole. I know if I look after them they will last a good while. Very happy with these UGG's - the quality is great and the fit is as expected - I take a size 10 shoe (really I am a 9 to 9.5 in length with wide feet) and this size 10 UGG slipper is the correct size for me.
