Do the handles stay cool?

Not sure about a pot on top of the stove - I have a large lasagne pan that has only been in the oven

No. They are the same diameter and use the same lids.

Anybody has the measurment of the 3 quart version? Is it just like the 2 but taller? Thanks

Both are the same diameter. Approximately 7.5". The lids are universal. The 3 qt. is 1.5" taller. Both are extraordinary. I use them daily.

Does this really weigh 3.5 pounds?

According to my scale, it weighs 3 lb., 4 oz. without the lid and 3 Lb., 14 oz. with the lid. Great pot.
