Nice set of whetstones, good selection of grits, angle guide works great, also has an extra stone to reserface whetstone when needed. These should do nicely to make my straight razor shave ready.

In short, King reigns supreme.I left two pictures, the first one which looks rather dull, was finished with Yimia’s #8000 grit “polish” which looks identical to their #1000. The second picture where the blade looks honed is actually polished was done using my 8 year old King #6000 grit.These stones are a joke, the base isn’t level either so it is 100% useless.

This set of stones is not only functional, it's beautiful! The bamboo base, combined with the muted color of the stones makes it something one can display when I am not using it.The Stones, being man-made instead of mined, are supremely even and have the correct grit across the length and breadth. They give an excellent feel to the user and are a joy to work with.NOTE: Make certain to soak the stones in water before using. These are WATER stones. If someone decides to use oil in the stones then you can NOT go back to water with that stone and are stuck using oil.

Flattening stone came with a sliver broken off but other than that everything was all good. Worth the money
