Great cameras and DVR
Setup wasn't too difficult and now we have eyes in the front and back of our home 24/7! We love it. Super easy to use. No monthly data storage fees necessary. You can even add up to 4 more cameras if you want. Note: the DVR doesn't have Bluetooth so you will have to hook it up to a TV or computer near your router or you will have to run a cable to it. The app gives you access to the cameras when you are away. Kit also comes with stickers to let people know you have surveillance going. Very pleased with this purchase!

Great Do-It-Yourself Camera System
This is by far the easiest security camera system I've ever used. I am thinking of replacing a different system at my house with this one after installing this at my office. You install your cables inside the attic, run them out to the eaves and install cameras. Connections are simple and system could be installed in less than three hours. Works great with any television capable of plugging an HDMI cable into it, to view cameras. The app works great on my phone and alerts me when there is movement when I am not at the office. I wish I had purchased two additional cameras for more coverage, but the four-camera system works great if you only need to cover four views.Would recommend to anyone looking for a simple security system they can install themselves!

Good system for the money.
I read some negative reviews about this system before I bought it, but I decided to take a chance. Glad I did. The system was easy to install and the set up was very simple. Swann has updated a lot of the set up settings to defaults that make customizing it for you easy. Cameras are good quality and the images are clear. This isn't a NASA quality system, but we use it to keep an eye on a beach house and for that it works fine. The phone app could not have been more simple to download and set up.

It just works beautifully!
Very impressed. Beautiful, sharp HD picture. You get what I assume is a nifty little Linux server with included mouse. Note it uses an on-screen keyboard. Don't freak out there is no keyboard because I did at first. LOL. The system is fast and responsive (I am using the hard-wired BNC version because I hate lag over wifi). The Android app is stable and has never crashed. I can say the same about the server. Highly recommended.

Plug and Play
My old unit failed. I live in Florida and we have issues with severe storms (AKA Lightning Capitol) A few years ago we were hit and I lost a bunch of stuff, and my Swann system finally went Kaput. I was hoping that this new system could make use of the cameras and wiring I had already in place and IT DID!!! VERY HAPPY! I am now trying to figure out where to put the extra cameras!!!! The online feature for our smart phones works great too! The new layout is much better than the old one! We are very pleased!!!

Very Hard to connect to internet for alerts
I bought this unit because I had a Swann NVR7300 and wanted to replace it with an upgraded system. Well, this unit has turned out to be almost impossible to get to connect to the e mail server, so I receive alerts from the cameras. I can Log in remotely by I phone and by computer to view but without the feature of alerts it is not worth the money. Without alerts I certainly do not want to sit by the monitor 24 hours a day to see if something is happening. I Have viewed all material about getting connected and have contacted customer support with a ticket complaint. As far as their computer assisted response it is close to worthless, perhaps even worst completely worthless. If I receive and assistance from Swann to get alerts or any other person can help me. I will revise my review. I was contacted by the seller 09-03-23 about things to try.Update 09-10-23. I was able to get the e mail sending alerts after many hours of internet searching to find an address that would work. I used the port given, SMTP 00587 and SMTP address as SMTP-mail.outlook.com I failed to mention that the mouse did not work although a small item which is easily replaced. I have now received 2 messages that cameras 6 has lost video, they are just sitting on the floor at this time, no other cameras lost video and no power outages in the house. I will contact customer support tomorrow to go over the options.Update 11-10-23It appears Swann is in the market of hanging people in the delay mode. I am still having problems now with 2-way communications, it does not matter how many times you contact customer support they just keep asking the same questions in a different fashion and do not even read what you have sent them. I hope I get to revise this review in a more positive way but until I get some real support that will not happen.

Great picture, install was as expected, remote access is great and no monthly subscription.
I have rated this as easy to install as if you are not OCD about visible wires etc this is a very easy kit to install. If like me you want to hide all wires and place this at 4 points under the eaves of a 2 storey house then this will take some amount of heartache!I spent a good amount of time planning my install. The most important thing is where to put your DVR box. Once you know that you can decide on the distance from the box to each camera and make sure you have enough wire from dvr to the camera. You can also ensure that you can get an ethernet cable to the box(if you want remote access from a phone/pc).You will need some DIY expertise to run wires cleanly and safely if routing through an attic space/eaves etc. I added a wired ethernet connection from the ground floor to the first floor of my house but a powerline adaptor could be used for this. You will need some technical expertise to open ports and forward external connections to your DVR IP address on your internet router if you want remote access. Generic information on doing this is available in the manual and online, but it is vital for access remotely.Although quite a bit of expertise is needed to install this and get it operating as you require, it is a fantastic piece of kit and the required work was expected. In terms of picture quality it is exactly as expected and required. The alarm notifications for certain areas of each camera picture work brilliantly, as does the motion and PIR detection. One of my favourite things about this install is the fact that there is no third party involved in connection to your DVR remotely. As long as its powered on and online, you are connecting directly to this and not to a website that then connects to your dvr. Even if the support for this model is discontinued, the previous apps will always give you access to the dvr remotely. This is fantastic when compared to subscription based services that could change or discontinue products and deny access to old equipment.
