Live footage of Nuclear Assault - reportedly the most aggressive thrash metal band ever. Formed in 1984 by ex-Anthrax singer John Connelly and bassist Dan Liker, who were looking to create a more uncompromising act and, with Nuclear Assault, they achieved it. Their barnstorming debut album Game Over led to album releases from Combat records and IRS, with which they proceeded to set fire to the Billboard charts. Following a grueling 180-day tour of the US and Europe in 1987 they opened for Slayer before headlining tours in their own right and taking on Japan. This DVD contains the complete ear-ruining footage from the final date of that notorious tour, shot on June 20th at London's famous temple of rock n roll, the Hammersmith Odeon.

Finally 1 of the best gigs from the 80's on DVD
Filmed in London in 1987 this was previously only available on Video, the cut to DVD is very good, the image is sharp & the audio is what you would expect from a gig filmed that long ago.Nuclear Assault had released Game Over, The Plague & Brain Death before this gig went ahead & Danny Lilker had played with S.O.D.To top it off both Danny Lilker & John Connely had been original members of Anthrax but left to do something different and like it or not Nuclear Assault was very different. The line up on this DVD for me was the best, Anthony Bramante on Guitar & Glenn Evans on Drums with Danny & John being the creative driving force.During the gig the mention the rain (something the UK is known for) and also play an S.O.D. song. The quality of this gig is exactly what you get on the album & EP's, my fav tracks are Stranded in Hell, Hang the Pope & Cross of Iron. This is a fantastic gig its just a HUGE pity that it took so long to get to DVD.
