Braun iCheck 7 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor for Smart and Fast Measurement

I've had the chance to put this through its paces over two days now, and, today, I’ve been able to compare it with another premium product, the Omron Evolv. These are both truly high quality machines – classy, stylish and practical (and far from cheap – but keep your eyes on Amazon Warehouse pricing!). When I first tried the Braun iCheck 7 (which fits on the wrist rather than the upper arm), I struggled with it and disappointment was the result. I was finding the readings to be erratic and often far too low; but now I've discovered the importance of correct posture – and I am very impressed with it. It has consistently matched the Omron Evolv. Basically, it is important to sit yourself at the equivalent of a dining or kitchen table on a dining chair or stool, rather than slumped on a soft settee or armchair. This is the key to success. Using either machine like this, and being in a restful state, not having just eaten or drunk coffee or alcohol, both machines work brilliantly and give consistently matching (and I believe accurate) readings. I attach a photo of me using the two, Braun and Omron, and of the last two readings I took (but I took many, just to be sure). I realise others have found the Braun reads low. I think it's a matter of patience and posture, as I've tried to explain. I feel very confident in the machine indeed. Which do I prefer? I can’t choose – both work completely well, and with neither having any tubes, they are both equally easy to use, and both much easier than the more traditional cuff and tube variety. The Braun is the quickest and easiest because it only has to be placed on the wrist, but not by any significant margin. It’s also by far the smallest, but it doesn’t come with a case, whereas the Omron has a nice quality zipped and padded case included. I think you’d be very impressed by either. Both have excellent apps that connect them to your phone by Bluetooth and this has worked 100% of the time, smoothly. The apps both integrate with the Apple Health app, too, which automatically pulls in the readings, so if you have an Apple Watch 4, you now have the ability to measure and log heart rate, heart rhythm (ECG) and blood pressure. If you have any kind of rhythm disturbance, such as arrhythmia, fibrillation or flutter, you will be going to your specialist well prepared with very useful data over time.

I always found that the upper arm blood pressure monitors either don’t work on me or give me major bruising. Unfortunately, I have a heart condition called POTS, and needing to take my blood pressure quickly and easily is imperative. Once I found this, I was over the moon - especially as it was on sale! I am unsure on whether it is worth full price of £90!! But it is a great bit of kit. Very easy to start using, very comfortable also! Connected to my phone seamlessly and was able to start using it straight away. Its not too tight when it inflates, and has worked every time. It’s actually quite small as well, so travelling with it is now not a problem. The information it gives is always accurate and the colour changing heart does help as I find it hard to understand the readings sometimes. Overall, I think its great! Very informative and easier than any other monitor I have used. Would definitely recommend, especially if it’s on sale ;)

Relatively easy to use, convenient to carry with you and readings are accurate AFAIKT. It needs practice to use effectively though. Small changes in the position on your wrist and the pressure when it's tightened make a big difference to the final readings, and in that respect it's no different to a more traditional arm cuff monitor. 1. The showing how to use it are pretty naff and it's hard to work out exactly how to position it on your wrist. It would have been *much* better had the instructions included photographs of the cuff positioned on a selection of different real world wrists. 2. It's not easy to get the correct cuff tightness. It would be handy if the machine was able to actually check the pressure of the cuff against the wrist prior to taking a reading. 3. The 'boot', takes a wet week, and there's a delay of ~20s before it starts to take a reading after you press the start button. 4. There's no way (that I could find) to wipe the memory of the unit to clear my practice attempts. 5. The associated app is very basic and needs a lot of work. For instance, it offers 'delete readings' but doesn't actually remove them from the cuff memory, just temporarily from the display.

This is brilliant. It's so small and compact that it can easily be carried around where you go. The results are very accurate so long as you follow the instructions on how to use it. You must be in-line with your heart. Ideally sat down, but it seems to work very well lying down or stood up. (I test all three positions and got the same result). Never cross your legs, that seems to ruin any result. The app is brilliant. Once paired, and despite being Bluetooth, it just works as soon as you open the app. No need to faff with reconnecting bluetooth over and over. As you can see from the screenshot, it does a good job with presenting the data. Lots of different views. My only gripe would be that just being a touch over 120/80 and it sends you into a Yellow heart reading. As you can see in my chart, it's all yellow, when in fact, a GP would have probably said I'm OK. I got this on a warehouse deal for £41, and it's the best value for money device. Wholeheartedly recommend.

I originally chose the Braun iCheck 7 as myself and my wife have used Braun product before and found them very reliable. I also wanted a health monitor which could tie into my iPhone. On arrival the product was well boxed with specific attention paid to protecting the device screen. The device easily connected to the app so that monitoring could begin straight away. The device is compact and smart looking and is used around the wrist rather than upper arm which makes it very convenient to use. The device fits snuggly onto the wrist and easily secures with the velcro strap. There is only one button which is very responsive. It identifies you as the user (once tied to the app) and then begins its monitoring sequence. The only tricky part is getting the angle of your arm correct although there are 2 dots on the screen which line up once in the correct position. The monitoring takes approximately 15 seconds and gives an accurate blood pressure and pulse rate which scrolls across the screen and then goes to a static display. I would highly recommend this product.

When I purchased this it was a really good BP monitor: it was easy to use, you just pop it on your wrist, hold your arm across your chest and use the digital spirit level on the screen to adjust the angle you held your arm and then it would inflate to take your reading. It seemed accurate and the app was easy to use and colour coded your reading (Green, Yellow, Orange or Red) to see if it was in range or not and it linked into the Health app on my iPhone so that everything could be tracked in one place and I would have given it 5 Stars. However, the app was updated 10 months ago (I don't know why, the app was great as it was) and numerous bugs were introduced into the software: * If you do not close the app completely after use then the next time you take a reading the date/time of the new reading will be incorrect (it shows the new reading as being taken the same time as the previous reading) * The link to the iPhone Health app is now broken and will no longer sync. And now, less than 2 years after I purchased it (Jul 2023), it has stopped working completely (my last reading was in April). I thought it might be the batteries and put fresh ones in (2x AAA) but it would still not turn on at all.

I chose the Braun iCheck 7 based on a recommendation from a family member and have to say I'm pretty impressed. The packaging was good, although a little annoying to open. The sleeve doesn't come off the box very easily, but that might of just been me and doesn't affect the good quality of the product itself. The unit itself is nice and easy to set up, easily connected to the app and was able to use straight away. There is only one button to use and you dont have to press hard for it to respond. A light touch is all that is needed. I agree with other users about getting the angle of your arm right, but once you have done it a few times its no problem at all the next. Once a reading has been done it's very clear and easy to see on the screen. For first time users I would say read what the screen means before you do a reading as while the information does stay on the screen for a reasonable amount of time it does go off. As expected whilst taking your blood pressure the device tightens as it would in a doctors surgery or hospital. I can't comment of battery life as I've not long had the item. Overall I think its good value for money and pleased I got it.

Brought this to monitor my blood pressure, but like all wrist monitors the results can vary dependant on where your wrist is in relation to your heart. It also gave differing results compared to my GPs blood pressure monitor. I have stopped using it and have purchased an upper arm monitor. You cannot recall readings on the monitor but have to rely on downloading the readings to their app which is quite rudimentary.

Veramente eccezionale. - manuale in italiano - misurazioni "abbastanza" attendibili - funzione per trovare il giusto posizionamento. - fornito con le 2 pile di nota marca! Contro: - guida rapida NON in italiano - confezionamento scomodo. Bello ma poco pratico. Se lo si vuole utilizzare spesso, è molto SCOMODO togliere la camicia che avvolge la scatola ed estrarre il misuratore. - non è fornita una custodia. Pertanto o lo si usa saltuariamente, oppure conviene lasciarlo fuori. Conclusione: - avevo un misuratore da polso di nota marca italiana. Un giorno, con alti valori, mi sono recato dal medico e .. alla fine l'ha buttato!. Poi ho provato questo ed era, al contrario, "abbastanza" attendibile. - il prezzo è decisamente alto. Se non l'avessi provato, ne avrei preso uno molto più economico (presente su amazon con buone recensioni).

Compre reacondicionado muy buen estado por 21€. Por este precio vale mucho la pena. Es un lector de muñeca. La posición del brazo a la altura del corazón es imprescindible. Media rápida y fácil. La app es muy básica ya que las lecturas sólo se pueden anotar a una sola persona. Si lo compartes tendrás un histórico de lecturas todas mezcladas. De hecho al ser de segunda mano me vino con lecturas del anterior propietario. En cualquier caso vino impecable.
