Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 Supplement, Plant Based Algae Oil DHA

I've been taking this for many years. Great supplement.

For years now, I've been relying on Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 DHA as a vital part of my daily wellness routine, and it continues to impress me with its outstanding quality and sustainability features. This product has truly become a cornerstone in supporting my overall health and well-being. What initially drew me to Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 DHA was its commitment to sustainability. Knowing that the omega-3 DHA is sustainably sourced brings me peace of mind, knowing that I'm not contributing to the depletion of our oceans' resources. Additionally, the fact that the bottle is compostable is a huge bonus and aligns perfectly with my eco-conscious lifestyle. One of the standout features of Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 DHA is its premium quality. The omega-3 DHA is derived from algae, making it an excellent fish oil replacement for those who follow a plant-based diet like myself. The purity and potency of the DHA are evident in its effectiveness in supporting heart, brain, and joint health. Moreover, I appreciate that Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 DHA is carrageenan-free, ensuring that I'm not ingesting any unnecessary additives or fillers. This level of transparency and commitment to clean ingredients is something that I truly value in a supplement. I also want to highlight the inclusion of DPA (docosapentaenoic acid) in this formula, which sets it apart from other omega-3 supplements. DPA offers additional benefits for cardiovascular health and inflammation management, further enhancing the overall efficacy of this product. In terms of performance, Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 DHA consistently delivers results. I've noticed improvements in my cognitive function, mood stability, and joint mobility since incorporating it into my daily regimen. The capsules are easy to swallow and gentle on the stomach, making them a hassle-free addition to my routine. In conclusion, Freshfield Vegan Omega 3 DHA has been a trusted companion on my wellness journey for years, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. From its sustainably sourced ingredients to its premium quality and comprehensive health benefits, this supplement truly stands out in a crowded market. If you're looking for a reliable and eco-friendly omega-3 DHA supplement, look no further than Freshfield. Five stars without a doubt!

Good product. Delivered quick

2022 Update: I'm coming back to this after a doctor recommended omega 3. I'm deathly allergic to seafood and fish oils, so a good vegan option is key. I've been researching for Hours tonight, trying to find a good vegan omega 3 and finally decided to go with this again, because I had no issues with tolerating it in the past, and honestly, it seemed pretty good. I remember the capsules going down easily, they had a nice, golden color, and seem like good quality. Hopefully, the formula is the same. I often used to pop the capsule between my teeth to avoid the carageenan, and consume the oil only. The taste was mild, and never an issue (Not at all fishy like a review mentioned, I'm vegan with Major fish allergies, so a fishy taste would have freaked me out). After awhile, I just swallowed them, and was fine. Honestly, the golden capsule looks pretty nice, and goes down easily. I have a sensitive gut, but never had any issues with these. I think in the future I'll prick the capsule with a knife and squeeze the oil onto my salad, or just pop it between my teeth, and toss the shell. It's a tiny amount and always had a mild taste. I could tell this was seaweed, and definitely Not fish. I was a little worried reading a reviewer thought it was fish, because I have severe allergies to fish, and ended up in the ER., fighting for my life, from a nordic omega fish oil. But this product has always been fine. If anyone gets a product with a strong fish smell, check the expiration date, it could be rancid. The customer service was always good, so hopefully they'll take care of you. 2020 Update: The second bottle arrived today and it was shipped in an envelope, no box. The envelope containing the jar, was left in the heat. It was 90 degrees F here, and the jar felt hot when I got it. Omega oils go bad from the heat, so I'm returning the package. Heat resistant packaging would be best, since the product is damaged by heat. It’s now hot where I currently am, so I’m again looking for an omega product with protective, heat resistant packaging. This type of product, being heat sensitive, needs heat resistant packaging, at least some padding around the bottle to protect the contents from getting fried. The product is otherwise very good, so to be fair, deserves 4 stars. Original review: A carrageenan hack... I was concerned due to the reviews mentioning carageenan. The most recent studies and credible doctors opinions on carageenan are not good. Carageenan is used to induce inflammation in animals for studies. Additionally carageenan is believed to cause bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, glucose intolerance, colon cancer and food allergies. Findings of a review from 2017 report that even non-degraded carrageenan can cause inflammation and bowel disorders, suggesting that this substance may contribute to ulcers and IBD Having a very sensitive digestive system, I want to avoid ingesting carageenan daily, because even in the tiniest amounts, it can be extremely harmful taken daily, over time. Someone mentioned cutting the outer capsule (which contains the carageenan) and ingesting the oil only, avoiding the carageenan. I saw the reviews mentioning the bad taste and fish smell, so I was hesitant to do this. Instead, I punctured the capsule with a knife and squeezed the contents into a glass. There was No bad smell. I tasted the oil before pouring in the orange juice and it has a mild taste. For me, it would be fine to take this without juice. I also haven't had much to eat today other than a few almonds, and there is no stomach pain after taking this with a glass of orange juice. So if anyone wants to avoid the carrageenan but still want to try these, squeezing the contents out, worked for me. As far as any results, nothing noticeable after taking daily for a month. I'll keep taking omega supplements as the research show that an omega 3 supplement can have incredible health benefits. The challenge is to find a good supplement with proven results. I asked the company if there are any studies done of the efficacy of this supplement. I'll repost here when I get a reply. • Reply from the company - "We do not have a unique study done for our branded supplement but it is the same strain of algae (schizochytrium) for any study you can find on algae DHA. Efficacy will be similar if not identical to the results of publically available peer-reviewed papers."

Easy to swallow pills. No fishy taste after.

Works for me.

Trying for the first time today. Love that it is plant based, as I do not eat fish or meat. Third party tested, hurrah! Had first capsule with breakfast and NO side effects. Now to see if I can tell a difference. ;-)

I've been taking this supplement for a number of months after noticing my vegan cousin was taking it. I tried to find some alternatives and never found anything else that was quite as well-rounded. I've never personally had any side effects or oddities around taking this product, so if you're concerned about some sort of digestion issue, tally one anecdotal story for this product not causing any issues now. The capsules themselves are easy to swallow and have a slightly sweet, even, flavor. I don't take these for pain relief personally (more as a supplement-supplement since there's some synergistic effects I'm after) so I can't report anything on that end, if that's why you're here. As such, no rating given on my end. After over a year of taking this I did have one bottle come where a single capsule had broken and leaked some of the oil, which has a strong smell/taste to it. The company was incredibly responsive and took care of the issue immediately, and also confirmed that the other capsules in the bottle were still safe to take as well. So, on that end, the company itself is also great for customer support should you have any oddities come up.

Amazing for vegans or those with fish allergies. These are a regular that I get every month as I notice a massive difference in my health when taking them. My nails grow quicker and stronger and so does my hair. I notice my eyebrows and eyelashes grow much quicker. I have IBS and they don't cause me any digestive issues. The capsules are very small and easy to swallow. There is no had smell or taste and no strange burps. Highly recommend!

Great option for vegans who want to get more omega 3 in their diets.

Happy to find omega that is VEGAN

These are great I've ordered them multiple times
