21 1/2 x 23 5/16 x 1 Air Filter, Pleated, MERV 8 (Case of 4) Fits Listed Models of Carrier, Bryant & Payne

I purchased these filters to replace the "washable" impossible-to-find filter that came with our new Carrier system. (Hello, Carrier? These weird sizes are not cool.)Unlike what you'll find at big box stores, these filters don't come with fancy graphics or a printed casing. But don't let their Plain Jane appearance fool you. They are sturdy and well-made. I spent some time poking around in HVAC forums before purchasing because I was a little worried about the MERV rating. You see, normally, I'd spring for the highest MERV: I have a house full of pets and I need all the MERV I can get, right? Well, maybe not. Turns out MERV is good for filtering, but a MERV that's right around 8 is better for your A/C unit. (Or so I have read.) So, since these were available in MERV 8 only, I decided to give them a try.It's now months later, and I can happily report that not only do the filters work well, they actually LOWERED MY A/C BILL. In Florida. In the heat of summer. I was (and still am) shocked. I'm going to assume it's the MERV rating and the filter construction. Our new A/C unit had already lowered our bill, but switching to this filter actually lowered it further. They also hold up for 3 months each. I probably could have stretched the last filter's life a bit longer, but, as I mentioned, I have pets. And lots of pet hair.The only con I'll give these filters is that when you first place them in, they whistle a tiny bit as the air flow breaks them in. A minor, negligible thing. Great quality and price.

These filters fit my brand new Carrier AC unit PERFECTLY! The filter is an odd size and I was worried about being able to locate a high quality filter. These filters fit the bill! They easily fit inside the slot and cover the whole area. I will be reordering soon!

These pleated central ac filters look like a very high quality product that we got from you at a reasonable price. This is a difficult size filter to find, and finding the better-quality pleated ones is even tougher. And we received them in a timely manner. Thank you very much for providing a good product with good service as well.

We replaced our air handler in December 2014, We replace the filter every three months. The filter purchase from Amazon was the same "brand" as the original filter installed in December.

A little better quality than expected for the price. Great source for this odd size filter that you can not find at a store. My A/C guy said they would work fine.

Fits perfectly, delivered very timely like all Amazon products, and, of course, less costly. What more can you say about an air filter? Has a great personality?

Perfect fit. This is my second order on these A/C filters. These are a lot better than the washable mesh filter that the unit came with. These filters keep out the dust build up on the coils, unlike the original mesh filter.

Fit perfect but won't know how well it filters air for couple months.
