BaxtersBeef Consomme Soup 3 x 400gm

This was used to make hot Bullshots (vodka, hot consomme, Worcester sauce, spices) for a socially-distanced, very cold get-together in the garden. They went down amazingly well. Could do with a little more salt but you can always add that yourself. In warmer weather we'll make ordinary cold Bullshots, also delicious - savoury alternative to Bloody Marys.

Tasteless

Love this beef soup, very handy when trying to loose weight. Have bought twice now as good value for the money, plus you can never find this soup in the shops, silly because a lot of people like Consomme .

One of the three tins has obviously been dropped, and had been compressed and dented. This sort of damage can cause pinhole cracks in the metal, through which microbes can enter.. one microbe spore in particular, that likes low acid food like this, and ambient temperatures, like this, and low oxygen, like this, and moisture, like this, is botulism! That’s often fatal . So I don’t use dented cans.

took longer to arrive than said and tins dented when arrived very expensive for what it is i was told to eat broth as i was unwell didnt need it when it came.

2 out of the 3 tins were badly dented. The packaging was absolutely fine, so it must have been damaged before packing
