A perfect case for safely transporting 2-3 cameras and audio gear
There are a dozen things I love about the Nanuk 950, and one thing that irks me. I needed a bigger case for longer shoots; something that would let me pack in 2-3 DSLRs, lens, and assorted gear. Here is everything I have packed in the photo:- 3 Canon 80Ds- 2 Canon 50mm lenses- 1 Canon 24mm lens- 1 Sigma 35mm lens- 1 Sigma 11-14 lens- Zoom H6 and top XLR mount- 2 Shure 58s- Camera cage- RODE Go wireless lavs- Hohem iSteady M6 Kit- Batteries, chargers, and plug-in adapters for all three cameras- 3 C-mount clips and a magic arm- Black Magic camera strap- two bags of wires and cables- Macbook Pro and charging cableThis all comes just under the 50lb weight restriction of many airlines, and well below the 115lb rating of whether or not the waterproof case will float. That more than covers what I need. The padded dividers inside are well thought out and easy to adjust. It feels thick enough to protect anything I put in there. The latches are strong but easy to release and fold neatly out of the way. The case itself feels very solid, but with only one lock attached the lid can be pulled up enough to get inside. get two if security is a concern (the TSA locks designed by Nanuk to fit all of their cases work perfectly with the 950 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T3RBXWT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1).Fully loaded, the bag is still relatively easy to move around with strong handles on the top and side that fold and lock away when not in use. The flat top makes it easy to stack with other gear. The pop-up handle works with one hand and locks tight. The one thing that bugs me is the price of the internal lid organizer. $180 is just too much to ask, no matter how convenient.

High Quality and Performance
I purchased this for a piece of electronic test equipment. The description is very accurate and I am very pleased with the quality. I got the enclosure with the padded dividers. Well worth it. I am interested in the pocket organizer that goes in the lid but it is a bit pricey as compared to the enclosure. If you really need it and have the extra money, I am sure it is worth it. Great buy.

These cases are pricy- but the quality is unmatched
I do like the Nanuk cases better than any other brand, in spite of the high price- frustrated in the fact that ALL of the accys are even more costly and some of them seem like they should be a part of the product- like the locking latches... :-/

Tough and durable travel case for photographic equipment.
A solid case for my camera and lighting equipment. Purchased it a day before a work trip in which I needed to check my luggage (this rolling case). When the case was loaded onto the airport mini bus where I parked my car, it almost immediately fell over (driver loaded it on its side instead of flat). When I got to my hotel, everything inside was well protected. The unit rolled well over hard floors, although a bit rougher over hotel carpet (a friends hard rolling case; different brand, had the same issue). Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase as well as the TSA locks that I purchased separately.

Didn't last a year.
This is my second nanuk case. First one was a 935. They are good an sturdy cases. For this one the wheels didn't last a year. The problem I have now is that they won't ship the wheels to me even if I pay for them. There are no other nanuk wheel supliers and the website have no specifications on the wheel size to see if I can buy something else.So basically this case became useless in less than a year. Nanuk staff could try and carry one of these with out wheels filled with professional photography equipment and let me know how freaking works for them...

Excellent case for 1 Series and Pro cameras
I bought the 950 case for my 1 series cameras. The 935 is an excellent case just not for full size bodies and a laptop. I got two bodies and flashes, my Ninja recorder, connect and microphone. This case will also hold my 28-300L, 70-200 2.8L, 85 L, 24-105L, 16-35 2.8L/135L, batter charger plus extras.Fully loaded as above case weights 60.3 lbs.

Nanuk 950 vs Pelican 1610
I've been using a Pelican 1610 for years as a check in suitcase, but there were a couple of things that I didn't like about it. 1. It was heavy. I know there's the "Air" line but those weren't big enough for my needs. 2. It was hard for me to get TSA lockable latches for the 1610, in fact I don't think they exist. Anyway Nanuk had such latches available right off the bat for the 950 - very easy, I was sold. I was forced to use TSA padlocks on my 1610, the problem was if the latches were open the lid could open to a 1-2 inch gap, more if someone forced it. That didn't sit well with me, but I was forced to live with it. The Nanuk keeps it shut tight AND I can also put 2 more TSA padlocks in the holes on the lid which have better steel inserts than the Pelican's steel clips. The Nanuk has a flange on the lid that hides the mating surface where the lid and the body meet when closed, I think it will help keep water out and possibly someone from prying on it too. The Pelican's mating surface on my 1610 is unprotected. My 1610 is heavier (19.5lbs) but its a bit more sturdy than my 950 (15lbs). I never weighed them but the 950 seems more than 4.5lbs lighter by picking it up. The 950 doesn't have the amount of stiffening ribs as the 1610 but it doesn't scream 'Tactical' or ' have a gun in here'. With the 950 I have less unwanted attention. With either though I'm not going to stress over my stuff being damaged, more so with the Nanuk since it most likely won't unlatch open against the padlocks like the Pelican, unless someone destroyed the main latches. But then my Pelican never did pop open (TSA always closed the latches correctly when they inspected it luckily) over the years. In the end I'm glad I bought the Nanuk 950, it's my new travelling suitcase.

Highly recommended! Super durable
I have been using this case consistently for more than two years and it has held up amazingly. I am so happy with it tbh. the padded dividers are also very durable, i am constantly moving gear in and out of the case and the dividers are still in amazing shape. Absolutely love it!

Hardcore
Bought this as a workshop bag - it's pretty full on in a great way. It would survive being lost at sea I'd say.

Robust. Reliability. Reassuring.
Why? If it is not it will break easily. This is not to say it will last forever. Any plastic breaks down in todays weather condition. Moreover it also depends on the plastic pellets. All brands does the same way of manufacturing the cases. Example.Explorer made in italyHard plastic. I have one cracked. The plastic plate just broke apart. The cabin carry on one btw the wheels broke down to bits of pieces. Yes again I can attribute it to the hot climate. After 2years of use.Pelican made in usa2 types. The istorm is soft and similar feel to the nanuk. I have droppes the istorm many times and bang up on it when i am pissed. Nada the case holds up.The normal pelican black plastic alittle harder and crisper just about the same as the explorer. But the cabin bag wheels are holding up for now. So far no issues.. Had dragged from SG to all over europe japan middle east and even to canada and USA.Got thrown down when I am piss. Nada not broken.HPRC made in italyPlastic is almost as the similar in texture to the nanuk and the istorm. The only thing was the bag pack version where the screws goes missing and comes loose. Other than that it holds up pretty tough. My son uses it for school for almost 5years. Before having to.replace it. The casing got dented and thrown.Nanuk made in canada. The wheels are like skateboard design and it does not have a drag like feel. Smooth is the feeling. The wheels are v cut henced it will make turning left and right easily. If you are on a bus put the bag horizontal sideup on vertical standing. This will not make the bags roll all over. The plastic has a good feel and texture to it.The locking design is pretty smart center bar thru for lock. The latches are pretty and straight forward. The manufacturer nanuk has come out with a smart way to catch the other side of the bag to close it down. Oh TSA latch. So depends on how secure you want the bag to be.Finally all bags mentioned including the nanuk it is water tight. Makesure your rubber silicone surrounds are silicone grease time to time. These silicone rubber can crack if it is left under maintain in a long time.GREASE THEM.Buoyancy wise. This is where some needs to understand. Inside.the case when you close them.it has air so no matter how.small it is there is air.pockets. and combine those small pockets it.can add up and make.a.small size air balloon and that is what that makes it float. The manufacture will always put the weight limit inside. Not that.the bag cannot handle more than the recommended weight but if it exceeds it will sink the case. Umderstand how this works will help to let the bags float. Finally support for spare parts is the utmost importance.Overall the nanuk is a good fine buy for the size. Can be safely recommended. Amazon has many of other brands. Buy the model.that suits you best. And what your pocket can pay for.Take your time to shop around.***Feb***Used it for travel. Very good. It came back intact for a triped to AUH.Had another 1510Peli bag stacked on top without any issues and was easy to manage. The wheels were smooth and to drag.Casing came out without damages for check in for AUH to SIN. Can be recommended to buy. Moreover the plastic of it was more.robust. Yes it is softer but the caveat is the softiness will help to 'absorb' the impact. Overall I can say it is good to excellent for the price paid. No extra delivery charges from AMAZON. You can buy them. It is that fantastic.Oh the wheels are robust.

Nanuk is the bomb-proof case that you were looking for
I own multiple Nanuk products and this is but the last one added to the line up. As a pro photographer, I want my gear to be safe, hard to recognize (nanuk doesn't scream "PHOTO GEAR INSIDE" like other photo-specific brands, and their products are used for many different things). These cases are bulletproof (not literally, but you get the point), waterproof (literally) and just so damn well built. Parts that may wear are replaceable and while my cases take a beating, Nanuk products don't wear out at all, other than cosmetically.I've bought expensive lowepro cases before and while they're amazing, they do tend to wear out and break under heavy use. I don't anticipate this one to break anytime soon and whatever may break will be replaced easily (hinges, locks, etc.).The one drawback? They're HEAVY, but that's the price to pay to protect expensive gear. And it's a good theft deterrent. Someone trying to run away carrying one of those won't go far, lol.
