Perfect!
The bulb plugged right in and worked perfectly. Very bright. This is a great replacement for the old fluorescent bulb.

Worth every penny. Just get one you will thank me later!
They said it was bright but they all say that, well let me tell you this is BRILLIANT not just bright and it’s a great even brightness that seems like sunlight. As an avid modeler who has 64 year old eyes (and everything else) this light is a god send. I used to have a hard time telling the difference between the LEGO colors but not now. I can also see the tiniest little details on my n scale locomotives without wearing my magnifying glasses because of this wonderful light which I installed in my trusty 40 year old Luxo magnifying lamp. It was as simple to install as a replacement fluorescent lamp an worked flawlessly from the start. I was hesitant at first because it seemed expensive but I am so glad I took a chance and bought it, I would now gladly pay twice the price asked for this awesome led replacement light. Thanks NYLL for making this great product right here in the USA!

This was a plug and play no rewiring just a great product
This light is an awesome little replacement for the fluorescent bulb. This thing is a direct fit NO REWIRING AROUND THE BALLAST. I just unplugged the old fluorescent bulb and plugged in this LED replacement and fitted it right into the exact bulb holder. Usually when it says direct exact replacement there is still work to do but, not here. This was SIMPLE AND DIRECT. It was a bit expensive so the investment may yet be worth if it lasts a long time. The light is very bright almost too bright but can it really be too bright? It is bright enough I am considering not replacing the 10” bulb next to it. Just for comparison this little jewel is brighter than both of the Fluorescents that came in the original round fixture to begin with. So when I have the money I might just get the bigger one and replace that remaining fluorescent as it is in the kitchen and above the sink. I’m thinking about other places to put another fixture just like it because it will illuminate very very well. The total cost to replace each bulb is just at $30 each so again if it lasts 5-10 years then yes it will be worth it.

super bright light
if vs original 10yrs old Philips 8T9 tube light, this is brighter a lot. We were using this for industrial magnifier ring light and no need worry about tube clacked anymore with hammer touched and no need worry about broke discharge tube air suck in cannot use it anymore. There was more cheaper LED ring light, but it is required remove ballast and connecting work, LED is connection very directional, so worried work time and do not want company building power down, so if thinking about risk price is even so we purchased easy way on this. I hope another several dollar price down in the future , we buy more. Only noticed people cannot expected exact center as original tube light position, it will off 1/8 inch maximum because that fancy tilting connecter they have. That is good function, makes easy to install.

Brighter than standard bulbs
These are brighter than the standard bulbs they replace, which was much appreciated. It should make the ballasts last forever as they are drawing less current. The light does not go out the sides quite as evenly as a standard bulb, it is a little more directed downward. Not dramatic, but a slight difference. It wold be great if the semi-opaque cover was more that 50% of the tube so the light would go more evenly in all directions. Expensive but if you want more light from your circline fixture and want to stop replacing bulbs this is the way to go.Daylight - Very good for seeing, but can be harsh.Cool white - In the middle, decent vision but not too harsh.Warm white - Relaxing light but not great for seeing detail. If you have a dual circline fixture (8 inch in the middle of a 12inch) you can use a "warmer" light on the outside (12 inch) and a "cooler" light in the middle and it is not as harsh but you still get good vision. I used a cool white 12 inch with a daylight 8 inch and it worked well for our bathroom. For a living area I would suggest a 12 inch warm white with an 8 inch cool white. I would not mix the extremes (daylight with a warm white) because the color is very different and it looks a little funky.

Replaced an old fluorescent bulb.
I have an old fashion swing arm drafting table lamp, which uses both a regular and circular bulb. I replaced both with LED bulbs. So far, it’s been several months and the circular bulb is functioning as it supposed to. I did have a little difficulty when installing. Make sure the contact points are aligned beforehand, (they can swivel) otherwise it will not seat properly into your fixture.

Super Bright / Direct Replacement
These lights are bright!! And true to the description they are a direct replacement with existing ballast. We purchased the daylight (6000k) version. However, the swiveling nature of the wiring socket is necessarily to the rear of the fixture (away from the bulbs), but on a flush mount fixture it does make it quite difficult to plug the wires in. Our solution was to run the wires of the outer bulb beneath the inner bulb (our fixture has both an inner 8” and outer 12” bulb) and this allowed the plug to align nicely to the outer bulb socket. Since they’ve only been installed for one week I cannot attest to their longevity but, for the price, they will hopefully last a very long time.

Not for the price
Only lasted about a year... For the price and the fact it's LED.. I'd expect it to last A LOT longer. Ick.
