Sharp knives is what it does.
The first sharpening steel i have owned. I purchased it at the same time a bought a few of the Shan Zu kitchen knives. I notice that you really need a steel for sharpening a bread knife due to the scalloped blade. I watched a couple of "how to" videos and have now got the hang of it. The dull edge is soon sharpened to a razors edge. Very nice feel in your hand with some weight to it. So pleased I took the time to learn how to use it. Far better than any previous knife sharpening tool I have used.

Works a treat. Had to watch videos to make sure I was using it correctly but all in all very pleased. Only drawback was submitting age requirements because the company sells knives then proof on delivery. Never mind eh.

Am able to get a great sharp edge I prefer this to using the small knife sharpeners I replaced my grandfathers old steel with this one (well it was very very old) and it is much better
