PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Aicok knives are characterized by high quality forged blades, which are made of German stainless steel. German steel knife (W-Nr. 1.4116). Material number 1.4116 of martensitic stainless steel. It contains 0.45 to 0.55% carbon, 14 to 15% chromium, 0.5 to 0.8% molybdenum and 0.1 to 0.2% vanadium. The purpose of the molybdenum alloy is to increase the resistance to pitting of the material. HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR KNIVES? 1. Before the first use, please clean the knives 2.When using, pay attention please. The cutting area of the knives is very sharp! Do not test with fingertips and avoid direct contact to avoid damage. 3. Care when using and storing. After each use, please clean and store in a safe place. Store them out of the reach of children 4. To maintain the life of your knives, keep them dry and clean after each use, use non-abrasive cleaners. Use soft towels to clean. WILL THE STAINLESS STEEL KNIFE RUST? Usually the stainless steel we see, the "stainless" here is relative, not absolute, relative to carbon steel. Stainless steel does not rust easily, but it is not absolutely rust-free, but it is not easily corroded and rusted than carbon steel under the same conditions and environment. To prevent the rust of stainless steel knives, the main thing is not to damage the passivation film of the surface layer of stainless steel knives. After use, clean it as soon as possible and dry it. Try not to touch acid or alkali salts. THE KNIFE SET INCLUDES: * 8" Chef's knife * 8" bread knife * 8" carving knife * 5" Utility knife * 3.5" peeling knife * Aicok wood block

Super Nice Set For Your Money
Blades are one piece all the way thorough handle making them super sturdy. The only difference between these and a 300 dollar set is that the are not hardened or quenched to keep and edge longer. They come with a super sharp edge out of the box and chopped through and diced an onion in no time. You can see mill lines on the blade but that's fine with me if it makes the price a little cheaper. Has a really nice wood box with a quality finish and strong stand. Over all a surprisingly nice set for the money and i would'nt hesitate to buy again. If your looking for a quality set with little cash this its it.

Light-weight, easy to handle, and very sharp
I purchased these after doing a bit of research here. I cook four to six times a week and cut fruit and sandwiches for my lunch probably three to five days a week. I wanted a relatively inexpensive set for everyday use for chopping vegetables, trimming and cutting beef and chicken (if you don't buy a good cheap chuck or bottom round roast and slice it for your own own stew meat for beef stew, what are you doing with your life?) and for my lunch prep, a set I could throw in the dishwasher and not really worry about. After all, knives really are utilitarian, and I would rather spend more money on other things.I have had two sets of knives over the last couple of years, and I ended up disappointed in both. I had a set of Cuisinart but the handle on the chef's knife broke within six months and the knives were not at all sharp, even after repeated sharpening. I decided to replace them with a set of "never needs sharpening" J. A. Henckels. They were pretty horrible. Not very sharp, and the chef's knife was far too heavy to handle with any kind of agility. This is my third set in five years and I hope they will last. I love the light and easy weight and feel of the knives, particularly the smaller chef's knife and the larger utility knife. I have sliced or chopped tons of onions, apples, pineapple, strawberries, beef, chicken, garlic, broccoli, eggs, and sandwiches since I got the set, and they just keep saying, "Bring it on." Love the set. And the wooden block with the stainless steel stand really is stylish. Looks nice with stainless appliances. A great purchase.

Cuts like a DREAM!
I should probably wait a couple months before writing a review for these because most knives cut very well when you first get them. I'm interested to see how the sharpness holds up after months of use, but for right now, they are amazing!! Hands down, probably some of the easiest-cutting knives I've used. I'm super picky when it comes to knives, but I have no complaints with these! I do wish the set came with steak knives, but it provides you with the basics. The appeal of the holder is just an added bonus. It looks much sleeker than those big wooden blocks sets.

Great knife set
I’m not a big cook, so I was not looking for a 30 piece knife set. This is perfect for those of us who don’t get very complicated in the kitchen. The stand for the knives is very modern and takes up minimal room and the knives themselves are fantastic - I forgot what it’s like to use a knife to cut something with minimal effort.

easy to use
Before using one same knife, which is used to cut vegetables and cut fruits. So, unfortunately, every time I cut apples with it, I always taste the flavor of onions or other vegetables. Now, I can cut different foods with different knives:)

Rusted
Initially I really loved the knives but throughout the months I noticed rust stains, I had wash them and let them dry before I put them back in the block. Less than a year later and every single knife has rusted.

Great knife set!
Very nice and sharp knife set.The block looks great as well. The overall quality is very good for the price.I would suggest to wash and dry the knifes quickly after use. Because for the price point this steel will probably start to rust if you leave it sitting in the sink for too long. Also these knives will need more frequent sharpening as the steel won’t be hardened like an expensive knife. But if you’re aware of how to take care of this knife set, you should be able to use these for a long time without issues.

Good display into my kitchen
Bought this knife set to replace an older one which had 2 of the knife chipped from an interaction with a strong beef bone .Firstly I like the stand ... the wood block looks much more better than in pictures and it's well balanced with a metal rest . The advantage is I have a small kitchen worktop and the wood base is only wide enough to store the knives , making the set to fit just fineKnife wise , there's a chef knife and a secondSlicer knife , a bread one , and 2 utility knifesThe set doesn't contain any sharping rod but until now the knives don't show any sign that they might need a touch up , but anyway I still have the one from the previous set , so I don't mind .Overall, I'm happy about this set ;it's both efficient and good display into my kitchen !

Great set that look great and performs well in the kitchen
Perfect replacement for my ageing knives. They are a superb price for what you get ... The knife block is lovely, perfect for keeping your knives from getting damaged. The knives themselves are well weighted and the handles are comfortable to hold. The blades aren't too thick so slice through anything with ease. The range of knives you get cover just about any preparation you may need to do in the kitchen. Only thing missing is a sharpening steel .. but so far I've not had to sharpen them.
