SE ELECTRONICS - sE7 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone with Clip

Impressive quality. Very airy, not boomy at all. Sounds awesome, very low self-noise. Works well overboomed, and underboomed as well (tends to sound warmer that way). Punches way above its price. Ultimately had to return it as I realized my home is extremely noisy and condenser mics with cardioid pattern just take in too much of it (birds chirping, trains, helicopters, planes, etc). A dynamic mic works better for my use-case, even though the se7 sounds best nominally, with much much lower self-noise.

Excelente micrófono, y me sorprendió no solo la calidad de la grabación, sino también la versatilidad que el mismo puede ofrecer. Lo utilizo principalmente para grabar guitarras acústicas/electroacústicas, pero en mas de una ocasión me ha servido para grabar voces de Podcast, coros (BGVS), también lo he utilizado en eventos en vivo y me da un resultado impresionante. Aunque lo utilizo principalmente para grabación en estudio, y lo recomiendo muchísimo, y por el precio, es una ganga.

I purchased this to replace a Shure SM7B. While the Shure SM7B is great - it's also a typical broadcast-style dynamic microphone and needs to be right in your face to work. It also requires a lot of gain. This SE7 needs phantom power and has plenty of gain, though it is cranked almost as high as the SM7B due to the distance. I purchased this as it's more directional, should pick me up in close proximity, but not everything in my house like a large-diaphragm condenser (LDC). The sE Electronics SE7 definitely fit the bill. In Zoom meetings and podcasts - it's almost no different... except it's better. The microphone picks up much more nuance in my voice and it's about 18 to 20 inches from my face (45 to 50 cm). I've been very pleased with it and have used it for some auditions, podcasting, and making phone calls from my computer. It's not going to replace my main studio microphones (Neumann TLM 193 and Sennheiser 416 MKH) but I definitely might purchase another for podcasting and as a room mic for picking up conversations from more than one person.

I bought this to replace a Shure SM57 I was using, which had good sound quality but I had to literally get right on top of to be heard. I like to move around when I'm playing so I was constantly banging into the mic with my guitar. This did the trick. Great sound quality and I like the -20 db and low frequency cut features. Allowed me to set the mixer input level at unity and got rid of the boominess, plus lots of room to move around now. Sweet!

Excelente sonido y muy duraderos, gran precio para su calidad. Los uso en los platillos de mi batería y funcionan perfectamente. ¡Los utilizo tanto para tocar en vivo como para grabar!

Bought this to replace a Blue Ember and an AT2020, both of which only can be mounted upright (vertically) on my desk stand as they are side driven. The SE7 is driven from the front (mounts horizontally) and is MUCH smaller, so I don't knock it over. The mounting clip that comes with it is really good. The sound, in my flute playing experience, is comparable to the others, as is the price. All three are excellent condenser mikes at $100; the SE7 meets my physical needs better. Do keep in mind that it does not come with an XLR cable, but it does include a useable pop filter.

I use this mic when it’s just me in front of the camera. It frees up my hands and makes me seem more natural. The sound is great and the self noise is other-worldly! It’s super quiet for the price.

I own many condenser and ribbon mics including U87 and Royer 122 this sE7 SDC is on par with those mics specially on guitars. I wasn’t sure I’ll like it because its so cheap - that is why we shouldn’t judge any mic for the price. For vocals you may hate it because it has too much details on the highs - it’s so flat up to 4khz

Llegaron en paquete cerrado con sello de garantía, son metálicos, 12 cm de largo por 2.24 cm de diámetro en toda su longitud. Vienen en caja de cartón con un clip con tornillo de 5/8 y adaptador 3/8 y con un protector contra viento de hule espuma negro. Tienen en el cuerpo los switches para los filtros de paso bajo y 20db, hay que utilizar un pequeño desarmador para moverlos. Debo señalar que su base (donde están los tres pins de conexión) es demasiado gruesa para conectar directamente con la entrada de una grabadora, en mi caso la F3 de Zoom, pero embonan perfectamente en terminales Amphenol. Llevo poco usándolos pero los encuentro muy sensibles perfectos para grabar sonido ambiente. Aún me falta probar su uso para grabar voz en interior pero por lo pronto estoy muy satisfecho. Como dato curioso, es más barato comprar cada micrófono individualmente que en paquete, y más cuando el paquete trae los mismos accesorios.

Me encantó, suena súper bien y me sirvió para grabar mi ukelele y subir mi primera canción a plataformas. Súper recomendable!
