I found it! I FOUND IT!!! I don’t even know how many saddles I’ve been through at this point but, NO MORE! This saddle fits me so perfectly, it clicked right on the first ride - I found “The Slot.” Once my sit bones found their spot to perch upon the contour of the saddle, set at the perfect width - 145mm - the saddle all but disappeared. No coccyx pain. No perineum discomfort. Just a nice breeze down below provided by the cutout and an enjoyable ride. The gel layer is quite thin, and yet provides just enough padding. The microfiber cover of the saddle is tactile and pleasing and doesn’t slip. My frame and reach had me pair this with a Thomson setback post and it is just perfect now. I went out and put down over 20 miles today on a “Break In” ride and honestly could have went 20 more. This saddle has made riding the bike a joy again!

I already owned a Sella Italia SLR Superflow, and it's always been a favorite saddle. I'm typically not a big fan of gel saddles for longer rides, because added cushion tends to eventually lead to rubbing after a few hours. I've always gone with the lean and minimal padding that allows little more than the butt bones to contact the saddle, resulting in the least amount of rubbing elsewhere, which is why the SLR Superflow is such a great saddle. So I have to admit I was a bit hesitant to see gel added to an already excellent design. However, my worries were unfounded, and I was very pleasantly surprised to break this saddle in with a long 60 mile ride. First impression was that the saddle was even more comfortable than my regular SLR Superflow without gel. Second, I found that even after three hours, I didn't get the usual hotspots on my contact points with the saddle. Very impressive. Overall, if you own a 145mm SLR Superflow and you know it's a good fit, you're going to absolutely love the ride and comfort of this gel version of it. Sella Italia has taken an already excellent saddle, and added another layer of comfort for sport riders who do spend long hours in the saddle. I've been using Selle Italia saddles on my bikes for the past 25 years. In fact, the first thing I do when I get a bike is swap the seat. After purchasing the Zwift indoor bike I bought this saddle to replace the stock version since it didn't fit me or my wife particularly well. What surprised me is that this version works perfectly for both of us. First of all the leather exterior has a high-quality feel to it; the pressure relief cutout is positioned in a way that works well for both of us, which is a bonus. The pressure relief cutout does a great job of eliminating any pressure and the padding, while firm offers the right amount of comfort and support. The bottom line is that, yet again, Selle Italia has delivered a fantastic saddle, and all the more so since it works for both me and my wife on the same bike. It's definitely worth the upgrade.

I personally didn’t like it. It’s Very hard seat so I will have to keep on searching for a new seat.

The design of this seat provides great support with minimal seat contact. The open center of the seat allows good air flow for cooling and less contact where contact is not needed. The seat is lightweight. However, the seat cover material is very durable. It is more on the expensive side - but the pleasure you get from it is worth the expense.

Welp even though I've had decent luck with Selle in the past, this seat didn't fit the bill. My butt was absolutely comfortable, but the nose unfortunately still caused numbness in my undercarriage. I'm not say this seat won't work for you, but if you tend to get numbness I'd keep searching.

Bought this as a replacement saddle for a carbon road bike. Well designed and very good craftsmanship and really light weight for the price. Pretty minimal padding and just not comfortable for me.

Der Selle Italia Max SLR Gel Superflow dient als Ersatz für meinen alten Selle Italia nt1, mit dem ich seit vielen Jahren tadellos auf Hobby-Niveau unterwegs gewesen bin. Der neue weist offensichtlich ebenfalls eine solide Verarbeitungs- bzw. Materialqualität auf und hat auf den ersten beiden Ausfahrten im Jahr 2026 (Verwendung am MTB) einen guten Eindruck - nämlich keine schmerzhaften Druckstellen - gemacht. Wenngleich man anfügen muss, dass der Sattel schon auf der härteren Seite angesiedelt ist. Bis dato also eine Empflehlung!

selle robuste élégante et confortable

The saddle is nice and fits me well. But when I received it, it showed clear signs of usage (original packaging broken, scratches on the rails since it was obviously already installed, even dirt on the bottom side from a ride of the former owner). For the full price I expect a new item, if I want a used saddle I can get it cheaper on Ebay or Buycycle.
