KEEN Men's Newport H2 Closed Toe Water Sandal

As a Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor, I wanted shoes for the summer to train individuals for both indoor & outdoor sports. These shoes provide comfort, protection, and proper support. I am a size 7 in men’s but ordered my normal size 8 and they fit perfectly. My foot/ankle tend to be on the narrow end so I would not recommend for wide feet -it’s not that they run small but potentially narrower than some may want. My feet do not sweat in them compared to other similar sandals. The quality of these sandals is far more superior than any other sandal (I felt the same with my Keen boots). My only scare was when I was home and surprisingly slipped (as you would on ice) on a few water droplets - vinyl floor. Luckily, I know how to fall. I tested them again and now I am simply mindful to stay away from wet surfaces. Otherwise, BEST sandals ever if you are looking for proper support, posture, quality and attractiveness.

It fits my foot, keeps from sliding around. The bungee closure maintains snugness. very supportive when fording streams of striding rock to rock. My previous pair, after several years of wandering in the woods and only several hours of leaving a new pup homealone) finally required replacement. I tried another model and was disappointed but the new Newport H2 is as good as the old pair -- excellent choice.

Far prefer the feel of these to chacos, which irritate my toes and ankle. Very grippy in rocky water.

This is my third pair of Keen Newport H2 sandals. I find I like to keep an older pair for wearing in dirty or rugged conditions, and the new pair for casual wear while being out around town. They fit snug, and hold my foot well, making them great for hiking and climbing. I've gone down very steep grades, of rock and dirt, and feel safe and nimble because the sandal becomes one with my foot. No slipping, and no blisters. I usually wear a size 9.5 or 10 shoe, but in these sandals I need a 10.5. So adjust accordingly.

These shoes are dang near indestructible. I love them for their traction, style and durability. They’re the only summer shoes I buy for my kids and family. However, the men’s shoes fit in a way that rubs my poor husbands pinky toes so bad. He has to take breaks from wearing them otherwise they’ll bleed. He’s an average size 13. Never has an issue with other brands/shoes.

Previous sandals (Deckers) were loose-fitting.

I'm getting ready to head to the tropics next month so I spent considerable time researching water shoes. Keen seemed to be make it to the top 3 in most online reviews. But looking for a more cost effective alternative I looked at other options. I also wanting a shoe that gave me adequate arch support. When I looked at the reviews in Amazon Camel Crown and Atika brands both looked promising. My shoe size is 12.5 and Camel Crown was the only one that had that option thus I though it was going to be the front runner. When the Camel Crown came in it was a little large for me and the arch support I was looking for just wasn't there. The Atika came with an adjustable back strap so that I could customize the fit and it was the clear winner over the Camel Crown. When my Keen Newport's came in I was concerned that it didn't have an adjustable back strap. When I put them on the size 12 fit perfectly and I liked not having to worry about adjusting a back strap. They also appeared to be little more durable then the Atika's and the shoe lace was much thicker (Without testing them in the elements durability is only a visual theory) The biggest selling point was the overall feel on my feet. The Arch support was more pronounced on the Keens which is what I prefer. When I looked at the Keen Newport vs the SOLR one of the notes on the review was that the Newport did provide better Arch Support. I never tested the SOLR so can't verify that but the Newport's are great and I couldn't be happier with the overall fit. I have yet to fully test them on my tropical adventure but thus far they feel great and I find myself wearing them all the time.

I'm just naturally clumsy. These "bumpers" save my toes (which are one of my least attractive features) from being shredded by bedposts, boat ramps, whatever. They have a great, very comfortable footbed as well as being very stable. Glad I bought them.

Da ich auf der Suche nach Sandalen bin, die man fast immer im Sommer tragen kann und die lange halten sollen, habe ich diese Sandalen gefunden. Die Marke habe ich im letzten Urlaub in einen Laden gesehen. Dort war aber meine Größe nicht vorhanden.Die Schuhe sind sehr angenehm und bequem zu tragen. Das Laufen ist sehr gut und es kneift nichts. Sie sind sehr gut verarbeitet und fühlen sich hochwertig an. Das Fußbrett ist weit, das ist für meine Füße sehr gut.Mit dem Schnellverschluss kann man die Schuhe auch zügig an - und ausziehen.Nun habe ich diese Schuhe schon einige Male angezogen und bin sehr zufrieden. Ich kann diese sehr empfehlen. Im Wasser hatte ich diese allerdings noch nicht angezogen. Werde das aber bei einen Ausflug am See oder am Meer sicherlich ausprobieren.

Though the Amazon seller sent the wrong size, but I only realised it after using the pair. If you're looking for a shoe that's great for hikes around water, this one is very comfortable and provides excellent grip, even when crossing streams. I recommend going half a size up if you plan to use them in water, as they tend to fit better that way.
