The steps can move and slam back down which scares anyone in the room, pet and owner included. But it serves its purpose and is perfect for my 65lbs. dog. Though it is not tall enough to reach any normal bed.

Dog Stairs or Piece of Furniture?!?
Very attractive and well made. They will blend in well with your bedroom furniture. However, my 96 pound Golden would step towards the back of the step, which would flip the step upwards, making it unstable. I had to send it back. Something to consider when deciding on this item would be the size and weight of your dog. If I had kept the stairs, I would have had to rig it to prevent the step from flipping up, which would then defeat the purpose of folding it to tuck away. I was disappointed that it did not work out, because I know that I will not be able to find stairs as attractive as these, that can fold for storage. Other than that, I would highly recommend. 🙂

Make your older dog happy with super steps!
The steps are carpeted and soft. Easily fold up to make a ramp or fold down for steps. Our Lab is getting older and can’t jump into the back of our truck any more. She loves the steps! It folds flat for storage and is high-quality solid construction. Excellent value and am very happy I bought this. It stands in its own so can be used anywhere.

Too slippery
I really like the steps for the first couple times my dog used it, I finally trained him to use the steps and he fell of going up the steps because the fabric on those steps are so slippery, it really scared him, now he is afraid to use it. the steps should have been a different material such as carpet. the spacing on the steps are good, not too steep, but useless to me now.

Not worth it
Honestly, it is not the best purchase. The covering on the steps is too slippery for my dogs to climb as is the incline of the ramp. We had to repair it once when the folding piece that holds the step up failed. Now another failed and stripped off wood. We had it for 6 weeks. Not a great purchase

Cat rises to new heights!
The covering on the steps tends to wrinkle and shift but it still works fine. Our fat arthritic cat loves it. Makes getting off an the bed easy for her.

Good build quality but too steep for us / our pet.
Compared to similar items this one has a much lower price for similar characteristics. We had to return it though, because it is too steep for our hound, he was afraid to use it.
