These light weight low profile fittings are a doddle to fit. The fittings pack are well thought out which makes for an easy life when you are replacing old fluorescent units. The down side of this task is having to go to the council refuse collectiion point to dispose of the old fragile glass tubes which contain toxic material. The upside is the extra light at lower running cost and longer life.

was looking for a light fitting to replace an old flourescent lamp in our utility/laundry room which is approx 11Ft x 11 Ft . the old light fitting was bulky and gave out a yellow glow, Very happy with this new light fitting which is less obtrusive and more modern and stylish and lights up the room perfectly. its simple to install, very lightweight and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend this light fitting. only slight problem was that i had to use a couple of washers to use as spacers between the fixing bracket and ceiling in order to allow enough clearance for the wiring connector because the light fitting is a flush fit to the ceiling. It isnt really a complaint, just thought it was worth mentioning it.

If you're after a very bright daylight effect light, look no further. The 5ft one I bought is pretty savage and these would be great for any loft, garage or mancave. Even comes with a little Wago style connector so no need for chocolate blocks. The only downer is the installation clips, otherwise it would get 5 stars. Not being dumb, it's easy to see they are designed with very little tolerance for anything other than use on a completely flat and straight ceiling. Anything a bit wonky or covered in ghastly artex and the clips become a tad unruly and you can't get the light over them securely. This, however, is easily solved by simply putting a washer or two (depending on their thickness and your ceiling wonkiness) between the clip and the ceiling to lower it a few mm and allow for the light casing to fit over the clip. Yes, you'll have a tiny gap between the light and the ceiling but you'd never notice it unless you happen to occasionally crawl around on the ceiling like that scene from Trainspotting... Cracking light, don't be put off by the comments left by others about installation - just use your noggin and it'll fit fine. Worst case scenario, if you really can't get the clips to work, there's enough room at each end of the light base for a hefty amount of double sided 3M tape... as the light weighs so little, I'm sure that'll be enough to hold it in place (genuine 3M automotive tape, not knock off cheap stuff!)

I'm assuming the makers want to sell a lot of these to shops, offices, homes, factories, ... all over the world, so they will be taking no chances with reliability, even though the fitting gets rather warm in use. I bought 5 new, so I'll return to this review if they fail. After that it is all good news. They are pleasingly low profile so good appearance and no banging my head in our shallow loft (unlike the old-fashioned tube fluorescents). They light up uniformly along their length, with a good diffuse spread. Ideal for apex-mounting along the ridge of a pitched roof. I used white, horizontal melamine mounting boards in the apex. Illumination is brilliant in comparison to the old, now-dowdy fluorescents we previously had. I used the daylight option; unlike older LEDs, there is no unfortunate blue tinge. Conveniently, they wire straight to mains and include their own "transformers". Against my better judgement, I bought them while still quite expensive because I wanted them there and then. I've had good past experience with LEDs. They are coming down in price, so I hope you will get an even better deal than I've had. Excellent, beating expectations.

The lights arrived well packaged and are very bright and provide a good even lighting for the garage which is where these ones were installed. They are so nice looking in terms of close to the ceiling, brackets were easy to fix and light clips straight into them and were installed in minutes. The only caution we picked up was that they are so long, (which is great for the application were were needing) but care in making sure the brackets are straight as the fitting can look crooked if you misalign them. The whole fitting looks really good and works exactly as we requested providing good even light. Would recommend them to anyone.

Worked fine for 30 months, then started to flicker. Now dead. UTTER WASTE OF MONEY AND RESOURCES. It's a batten light - it should be installed and basically last forever. There is no way to return it, no way to complain and it clearly does not comply with legislation requiring it to be if sufficient quality. Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish.

I have six of these and the 5ft one has failed twice now so I’m on my third install. They are, at least, easy to install. Most of them (including 5 ft and longer and shorter versions) have lasted 5 years now with no issues. The problematic one has failed every 2 years since then. The symptom is the light goes very very dim and flickers. The failure is seen where the driver circuit board is. All my other ones have been 6400k, this one is 4000k and it’s noticeably a warmer white vs the others which are a brilliant day white, as this warm white one is described as. Installation is in a dry cellar - the colour difference doesn’t really matter. So these are fine, I just wish I knew what was causing the failures. Original wiring was done by a qualified electrician and my home was fully rewired before these were first installed with no other electrical issues experienced. A mystery.

Light output seemed greater than the upgrade to 50W from its 45W predecessor implied. Previous model was replaced due to one of the ?4 internal LED strips failing after 13 months. Mounting system comprising metal spring clips attached to the ceiling by (supplied) screws and plastic plugs was simple to install, but left a gap of 2-3mm between light unit and ceiling - though this is much less visible from 'ground level' than when installing. Inclusion of a lever-operated 2-conductor connector was a nice touch, though was not used, so cannot comment on its ease of use or acceptance of domestic wiring, of much heavier gauge than the lamp's own conductors (L & N but no earth on this plastic-bodied product).

Ottimo prodotto anche se tutto in plastica (la parte strutturale) facile da installazione e cablaggio già dotato di tutti i supporti necessari .A confronto con i neon a tubo non c’è confronto. Ottima luminosità buone rifiniture utilizzabile anche in interno casa. Acquisto consigliato

Die Leuchten wurden unverzüglich geliefert. Sie sind sehr leicht – in meinem Fall benötigte ich nur 2 Klammern (3 sind in der Lieferung), und ich konnte die Klammern mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben direkt am Gipskarton (ohne Dübel) anbringen: hält absolut ausreichend. Die Lampen ersetzten je 2x54W T5 Leuchtstoff, sind subjektiv doppelt so hell (und sofort auf voller Helligkeit – Leuchtstoff brauchte immer ca. 10min um ganz hell zu werden), bei halbem Stromverbrauch. Wie in der Artikelbeschreibung gezeigt ist innerhalb der Leuchten kein Platz für Klemmung vorgesehen, das Anschlusskabel muss direkt in die Montagefläche eingeführt werden, oder in eine UP-Dose – aber das ist halt konstruktionsbedingt, weil super-flach. Diese Geometrie leuchtet auch den Raum voll aus, es gibt keinen Schatten mehr an der Decke! Wer mit diesem Anschluss leben kann ist mit den Leuchten bestens bedient – zum unschlagbaren Preis.

Ho acquistato 2 plafoniere led da 50 W/1,5 m per illuminare un box lungo circa nove metri, in sostituzione di vecchie plafoniere al neon. Il risultato mi ha soddisfatto moltissimo sia per l'intensità luminosa sia per la luce molto naturale. Il sistema di fissaggio, costituito da tre clip da fissare al soffitto, è molto pratico. Se le clip avessero un'asola per la vite di fissaggio anziché un foro, sarebbe più facile allinearle alla plafoniera. Nonostante il mio interruttore interrompa il neutro e non la fase, le plafoniere funzionano benissimo quando si spegne la luce, spegnendosi completamente e senza lampeggi, cosa che invece mi è capitata con altre lampade LED.

No da mucha luz y lo veo pequeño y endeble. Le pongo una estrella porque al intentar devolverlo. Tras etiquetarlo y envasarlo correctamente. Lo llevo a correos y el coste de devolución que debo pagar es mas de 20. Esto supone mas del 50% del valor del articulo. Si lo compráis, estad bien seguros, que es lo que necesitas y no lo vais a devolver. Esto es un articulo con un coste de devolución abusivo. Deberían indicarlo en el momento de la compra
