This device comes with an installation CD the contents of which need to be installed prior to attaching the device. I installed the BlueSoleil firmwarebut received a message that this firmware is only for evaluation purposes and will expire after 30 days. To continue using the firmware i need to "activate" by purchasing a serial number.This doesn't seem quite right but that's what it says.EDIT: Found this .... [...]

Complex and inconvenient, also not very long range in practice.
Needs a different piece of Bluetooth software (Blue soleil), so complicated to set up and use. Stops other Bluetooth devices working. I think that it is not very effective, Bluetooth is a two way system so both ends of the connection need to be high power to be fully effective.
