My laundry room doors each had a ball catch. One of them broke forever ago, and the other the bearing just broke last week so I ordered this kit. It was an exact replacement for the original 20 year old ones. It works well, doors are easy to close and the price was right. Definitely check it out if you need a new ball catch

Works well. Fit into the opening from my old one perfectly. I was not able to get the metal casing out of the hole in the top of the door, but I was able to remove the metal casing from the new one and then put the cylinder with the ball into the opening. Good as new! The last one lasted 14 years with multiple daily usage. Hopefully this brand lasts as long.

I had a closet door that had a similar ball-catch installation. The "marble" came loose and the closet door never would close. I took a chance and ordered what I thought would be a match to my current ball-catch and it worked! I only had to remove the cylinder inside the round hole at the top of the door, and push it the new cylinder. The original hardware plate that was already installed did not have to be replaced. Easy money! Easy fix! Very happy with purchase!

These ball latched worked well, but know what you need to do BEFORE installing these. There were NO instructions included in the packaging. I had to go back to the original listing to capture the measurement and instruction slides, and I was able to figure out the install process. I used a 7/8" paddle bit to drill the latch hole on top of the door and then drove the ball latch in with the equivalent of a nylon head hammer. The latch plate was the hardest part to install, because one of the doors on which I was working had a TIGHT top seam. I had to recess the strike plate, but because the strike plate had three bump-outs of metal (the two screw holes and the strike area), I additionally used hole saw bits to drill shallow holes behind those bump outs so that the plate sat flat in the door frame. When it was done it worked well.

The installation was fast and simple. A direct replacement and perfect fit. The 2 piece kit was just what I needed as I had 2 closet doors where the balls were missing.theses feel solid and even more durable than the ones I replaced. I thought I would need to adjust them and I was used to having to apply a little more fire to open and close the doors. But then I realized that the doors were closing just fine and I didn’t have a need to give close the doors.

Easy to install, great price, and they work very well.

Easy to install. Good adjustment feature. I needed my door to close with a good seal. Applied a little bees wax and now it is easy to open and seals tight. My wife can now open the door easily and I get the tight seal

They work well and they are easy drop in replacements for the ones that were included on my doors. Worked better than the ones that came with my home after a week. So far so good
