RCBS 90375 Trim Mate Case Prep Center 110V AC

I wanted an affordable electric case prep device and ended up choosing the RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Center after returning the Hornady Case Prep Trio. The Hornady is about 40 bucks less, and let me tell you, the saying "you get what you pay for" really stands here.Anyway, enough about the Hornady. Short and simple, the RCBS Trim mate is very sturdy, and I like the upright tool heads. The motor provides plenty of torque, and while it isn't blazing fast, it does the job with precision and ease. The deburring and chamfering tool heads are very high in quality, and I added the RCBS Military Crimp Remover to take the primer pocket crimp off of military 5.56 brass.All in all a great machine. I'm sure there are higher end ones with plenty more automation, but for the $140 that I paid for this, I am extremely happy with the product.

This machine is great, i have wasted a lot of time and effort in case prep in the past, (no more) but i have to say it was the poorest job of packing i have ever received .no internal packing done at all, and the outside of the box wasn't even taped shut, the dry neck lube was open and spilled all over the machine, very unhappy to say the least!

The firs prep center I ordered did not turn on, and the motor screws were loose inside the box. Being a new unit I didn't feel like messing with it, so I returned it and ordered a replacement. Got the second unit and the same thing happened, screws loose and would not come on. This time I decided to open it, one of the wires was disconnected from the switch, once I fixed the connection and replaced the screws everything worked OK.Although the unit has been working fine and I am satisfied with it I only gave it three stars because of the shoddy assembly, I have come to expect better from RCBS.

I'm still fairly new to reloading. I started off doing all the primer pocket cleaning and chamfer/deburr by hand with individual tools for each job. I don't personally feel like I am doing a "better" job with the RCBS Trim Mate, but it is so much easier to complete my work. Also, my hands were always sore after long sessions of doing these jobs manually. I almost purchased the Hornady version of this device, but it only has 3 moving parts and sits sideways as opposed to the upright position of the RCBS Trim Mate, which I feel is easier to use. I would recommend this product to anyone that is new to reloading and wants an easy way to prep their brass.

I opened the package and it seemed like it was already opened. The box was not taped shut and the product was in pieces. I pulled it out of the box and three loose screws were in the box. The motor inside was not affixed to the machine. someone had removed the screws or they were not done at the factory. I took the machine apart and installed the screws to affix the motor to the inside of the product. It seems to be working ok but it was a big hassle.

Great little machine! I thought the motor and gearing would be obnoxiously loud but it's surprisingly quiet. It's still loud enough to irritate your gf if you are processing cases and watching TV but other than that, it's excellent. It is larger than it looks, well built and very little runout on the bits that I use. I have a separate tool to process the case mouth (trim and chamfer in one step). this machine cuts crimp, uniforms and cleans the primer pocket for me. With 5 stations, you can set this up to do whatever you need for case prepping. Very happy with this tool.

This has been a welcome addition to my reloading bench. Simple to change out the stations and works as advertised. I reload .38 Spl, .357 Mag, 45 ACP and .308 Win and to change from one caliber to another presents no issues. I have had no problems using Lyman or Lee accessories with the unit.Some reviewers stated that the unit ran too slow for them. I have been reloading 40 years and have no issue with the speed.I would recommend this RCBS item.
