Single Self Inflating Camping Roll Mat Inflatable Sleeping Mattress 5cm Thick

Okay, I wasn't expecting too much from this as it was pretty cheap. However, I'm really impressed with it. If you follow the instructions, inflate and deflate it a couple of times and leave it flat until you need to roll it to use it, then you get a decently "fat" mat with just a bit of topping up once it has finished self inflating. I've only spent the night on it once so far, but it was very comfy and I had no back ache in the morning (and my back can be a bit of a diva). It's a decent length, but it is quite narrow, so unless you are petite it's probably worth spending a bit more on a wider one. For me the 5cm thickness was the best compromise between comfort and portability, and it was warmer to lie on than an air bed. Initially I had a bit of trouble deflating and rolling it back up into a compact roll, so would recommend the following - undo valve and squash the air out by rolling the mat loosely from the bottom, working upwards towards the valve. Tighten the valve and start to roll the mat again from the bottom. This time roll tightly, leaning on the roll to remove as much air as possible as you go. When you get about two thirds of the way up (or as soon as the top section looks firm) undo the valve again and continue rolling to remove the remaining air. Tighten valve and fasten straps - job done.

This is a great little mattress. Bought for my children to sleep on at their grandma’s. I personally found it to be very comfortable. The children were a bit fussy and didn’t like sleeping on it! I think it’s fine for camping, maybe with a cheap foam mat underneath? It is thicker than my tried and trusted Thermorest, but does therefore take up quite a lot more room when folded up.Good for the price certainly.The attached photo shows the mattress on the right (purple).

I bought 2 of these to replace old air mattresses and they're surprisingly comfy. The instructions state they should be inflated 3 times before first use and it does make a difference to the speed and depth of inflation thereafter.

Bought this as an occassional-use cheaper, thicker (and therefore heavier, larger) version of our Thermarests. It inflates well, holds the air, has a good surface, and is comfortable. It could be used backpacking, check the weight and size when rolled. It's similar to (or better than) others in the price range: you need to pay a lot more to get the high-insulation super-light versions.As always with self-inflating mats, it's a good idea to leave it to inflate as much as possible before putting in a couple of puffs; and it really helps to store it inflated (such as standing on end at the side of the wardrobe) and only deflate it when really necessary for travel.

As an over 40 festival goer and camper, I'm starting to get a little worried about sleeping on the ground so I researched inflatable camping mats extensively. I selected this mat based on a combination of inflatable height, weight and value for money. It exceeded expectations on all counts and is a remarkably comfortable mat. I did not complain once of aching hips and I slept well three nights in a row.... as well as one can in 39 degree heat anyway! Highly recommended.

I bought this for my motorbike camping trip to France , and wouldn't be without it since , it takes no more than 15 minutes to self inflate and you only have to give it a few blows to fully inflate it , and it is the most comfortable sleep I have ever had on a camping mattress. this is a must buy for any camper

I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I have to say that I have only used it on top of a carpet rather than outside on the ground. We stay with a relative who's double bed is small, and the mattress is appalling, so I had to try something within the confines of a bedroom. I must be honest, this was far better than expected and I slept pretty well. Inflates/deflates quickly and with minimal effort. 4 stars only because I would like it to be a little wider. Would definitely buy again.
