Very nice fillets of near uniform size. A ten pound carton is what I ordered. It took several days for the shipper to deliver to my residence, but the fish arrived sub-zero, frozen solid, inside a foam insulated shipping container packed with a generous supply of dry ice. Much of the dry ice still remaining, and doing its job. The fish is packaged in a single heavy plastic bag (inside a carton). Despite being in one bag, they are not frozen together and it is easy to pull out a single fillet. Keep in a dedicated deep freeze. Combination refrigerator-freezer appliances, are "frost free" and to do that, they use heaters to raise the temperature slightly above freezing once a day for a short time. Because they work that way, storing bulk seafood in a refrigerator-freezer can result in the pieces freezing into one block. If you must do it, individually wrap the pieces on arrival while they are still easy to separate. Haddock is related to cod fish. It is a common fish, used to make "Fish and Chips" in the U.K.

These are exactly as advertised, loins, the best section of the fish. A delicious flakey white fish. If your budget can afford it, hands down, in my opinion haddock clearly beats tilapia, flounder, and cod. No skin, no bones, all fish. You are getting the bang for your buck. Whether you bake, broil, pan sear, or cast iron grill, it's hard to miss on this fish. Ordering my second box today. There are shipped with a dry ice packet (Use gloves to remove the packet). The pieces come frozen in one big bag. While they're still frozen portion them for your family. I use Stretch Tite wrap and then aluminum foil to protect the freshness. There are many recipes out there to experiment with. Happy Eating.

Really good deal. The problem that I had when I ordered was that the description did not say how many came in the box. It is a bit hard to count, but it has to be at least 30 pieces if not more. Good tender meaty haddock. I am very happy with this purchase.
