Installs as a simple lightbulb. We have ours in the hall which is dark. Switches on on entry, fantastic! Highly recommended.

So far this outdoor light is working completely as wanted. Does not come on during daylight but senses movement just as light begins to fade, perfect. It is nice and bright with not the slightest flicker. Response to movement is instant within about2 to 3 yards. Switches off after 30 to 45 seconds. I only had the for 2 weeks so can't coment on durability. Very pleased so far. Update: Nearly a year later still woring perfectly. I would say now range is about 3 to 4 yards. it is fitted in front door porch, just a small roof no sides or front cover so I'm sure in heavy rain it most get slightly damp, but no problems at all. still 5 stars.

Amazing bulbs, saves money, and it's good for the elderly or disabled, as I Don,t have to reach for the light , going up the stairs, it's automatic, Only 4 because 1 didn,t work but was refunded will buy more,

They work perfectly from the ceiling sockets. We have them in a dark corridor and have them on permanently. When we enter the area, we have light without reaching for the switches.

Nov 2022 Update to previous review. 2Years7Months after purchasing these PIR Bulbs I can report that I have not had any issues, I have three of these lights installed (I gave the fourth to a friend) and they are used daily without any problems. All in high movement areas, Hallway entrance, top of stairs and ground floor half bath. I am just considering purchasing more, rising fuel prices increase the need to control energy usage better. 2.5years later my grown kids are still hopeless at turning lights off. 2020 review: I purchased a pack of two of the LED bulbs with motion detection. I own several motion detection sensors which are sat in a box on the shelf waiting for me to rewire lighting circuits to install them up. I thought these bulbs might do the job and save on some wiring. The Bulbs work great, I am still in the first week of use but they are doing the job as advertised, when it goes dark they will switch on with movement and switch off after 30-40 seconds if no movement detected. They are a great alternative to hard wiring in movement/presence detectors. I am hoping these will save money as my children are incapable of switching lights off. I did have one issue, I placed one of these lamps in an entranceway 4 feet (1.2m) in front of a CCTV camera which had infra-red illumination built in. The camera wasn't looking at the light, however the Infrared was hitting the bulbs PIR detector and preventing it from functioning. I Turned off the illuminating IR and it worked fine, be aware of this when choosing the location. Before I realised the malfunctioning bulb was caused by the CCTV’s IR I had contacted the seller who replied within 24 hours asking me to recheck the problem bulb in another location, but reassuring me that the bulbs are sold with a guarantee and they will sort this out, willing to refund or replace. I would purchase these products again from this seller again. Thanks support team.
