Cute, sturdy little *cat toy*
I had a similar toy years ago but a leaky battery ruined it. I've hesitated to replace it, given the variety of comments about the different manufacturers' versions of it. I finally went ahead and got this one (made by ABL Innovation Toys). Hooray - it's the same good quality I had before. It is unfazed by swattings and pounces. It can move on textured woven rugs, though sometimes needs a little nudge to get on or off the rug. It works fine in the plastic ball, which is much smaller than my previous toy's was, a big improvement. Price is fine. Cats are thrilled.

All the fun of a real hamster
The 5-year-old was delighted. He has wanted a live hamster for a long time. This one does not need to be fed or watered and does not go potty on the rug

Cute
I dislike that I have to take off the plastic "bubble" to turn off the hamster. Since the on-off button is on the hamster, I tend to let it run on the floor without putting it in the "bubble". It took a couple of tries to get the "bubble" on. There is only one way to connect the 2 halves of the "bubble" to make it stay closed. The little critter is very cute.

Best dog toy
My dog loves to chase it and pounce. Not the intended use so he did kill the toy quickly but he loved it

Only worked for 1 day
This was so so cute and fun for like 1 day. After that it stopped working and smelled like burnt plastic. Waste of money. Too bad, because the idea is so great and my 2 year old and 5 year old thought it was a real hamster and kept creating little obstacles for it to go through.

Fun but needs an auto off timer
Bought this for our foster kittens and their mom, super cute toy that they enjoy chasing, wish it had an auto timer to turn it off after a certain amount of time. It keeps running until you manually take it out of the ball and turn it off. If you forget, the batteries die. Other than that it’s a fun toy for cats.

My 3 year old loves this toy
This is the second time I have purchased this because my 3 year old literally wore the first one out! Honestly, it is a great product we were just way to rough on it the first time and it still lasted a couple of years. Very cute durable toy but make sure you have AAA batteries on hand.
