AMANA ADB1100AWW Built-In Tall Dishwasher with Electronic Front Controls and 3 Cycles, 24", White

I was a little hesitant to purchase this budget dishwasher due to a concern about potential reliability. I have had this product installed and working for nearly a year and it has performed very well. The decider for me was that my galley kitchen also already had an Amana brand microwave and stove and this unit is a perfect match. I like the fact that the upper impeller is located below the top basket, which means that nothing loaded into the top basket can obstruct the rotation of the impeller. There is more than enough height in the lower basket for large items without interfering with the upper impeller. Of course, there is a lower impeller under the lower basket. Dishwasher tip: Always run the adjacent sink tap until hot water comes out before starting the wash cycle of the dishwasher. That insures that the first wash will be with hot water and not the cold water filling the line between the water heater and the dishwasher.

I would love it, but it came damaged and had to return it. It is a super product!

This piece of junk has no right to be called a dishwasher. I have owned it since July 2015 and so far, regardless of what setting I put it on, the dishes are not clean. From all the five star reviews, I can only assume they have never owned a pre "built overseas" dishwasher (guilty countries shall remain nameless). Our last dishwasher was a cheap, discontinued Kenmore floor model that worked great for many years. This "thing" does do one operation very well though - any food that might be left on a plate is now permanently baked on the ceramic. Perhapes, this should have been called a kitchen kiln, but not a dishwasher.

Arrived on time. It is a terrific washer and it is very quiet. It does not need an insulation blanket.

We just installed it over the weekend, but so far so good. The installation wasn't too difficult, however an adapter was needed and it did not come with the adapter, so we had to run to Home Depot to buy it. Of course home depot was out of them, so we had to buy a package that included the adapter. Problem was it came with a bunch of other stuff that we didn't need and it cost 5 times as much a just buying the adapter, but we didn't want to drive all over Orlando to find one. :(

Affordable, functional and does a great job.
