put it on before you judge
As others have already noted, the quality is good. It's what you'd expect from O'Neill. Also, the fit is snug. When I unpackaged my shirt and before looking at the tag, I thought I had received the wrong size. I'm 6'1", 215 lbs., and I ordered a 2XL to be safe. Just laying there, the shirt looked to be a medium at best. But when I put it on - and it slid on quite easily - it fit perfectly. It's snug like a neoprene top should be. But it's comfortable and not constricting. Final word, order one size larger than you think you need. I think you'll be happy.

Nice, if you can find the right size
I’m 6ft tall and 140 lbs. Based in O’Neills sizing chart, I’m a medium. O’Neill recommends you buy your size based on your weight, more so than your height. Based on height, I would be a large.I purchased the medium and it fit well enough around my torso (nice and snug) and down to my waist, but the sleeves hit me about an inch up from the wrist. I didn’t like the way this felt or looked, so I decided to return it and wait for the size Large to be in stock. Had the sleeves been an inch or two longer, I would have kept the medium.Unfortunately, since I didn’t actually use this top, I can’t really give a review based on how it functions. The quality seemed good (typical O’Neill) and it seemed thick enough that it’d probably offer plenty of warmth while still remaining manageably thin.

Perfect for fall outdoor swimming in Northern California
I purchased two of the 0.5 mm Hyperfreak long sleeve tops for fall outdoor swimming in Northern California. The material is soft and it seems durable. The top is well made. It is so flexible that I am not aware that I am wearing it while I am lap swimming in an outdoor pool in cool fall weather. For winter outdoor swimming I recommend the 1.5 mmm Hyperfreak long sleeve top. The 0.5 mm Hyperfreak top is warm enough for cool fall weather, but you will want to try the 1.5 mm top for winter outdoor swimming in Northern California.

Super warm layer under wetsuit
This is extremely comfortable and warm. I bought this to wear under my 3/2 full suit rather than buy a 4/3 since I don't surf that cold often. It work in a pinch. I am 6' 230lb, bought XXL, fits very tight but correct, it is very stretchy. Great product as always from O'Neill.

Great Product. BUT 2 Different Materials Used!
Only deducted 1 star as the actual product is nice.Problems:1) Two types of material are used (not mentioned)2) Size is small (as other have stated).1- Even the manufacturer website does not mention that the sleeves (generally the non-black areas) are made of rash guard material/stretch spandex and NOT TechnoButter/wetsuit material.2- As you can see in the pictures, the large O'neill rash guard is looser while the large O'neill HyperFreak Neo/Skin is tighter. I'm 6'1", 185lbs and could barely breath in it. Definitely go one size larger if unsure.Side note- I surf every day and although my rash guard is a bit loose, the water makes it cling tightly to me but does not restrict my are movement at all.
