Question 2

Anyone tried using a longer length USB cable for power? I've tried a 10ft cable but the screen won't turn on. Is there a length limit on power cord?

It will depend on the quality of your cable. DC electricity is not particularly efficient at traveling long distances. The more current (amperage) you try to pass through a cable, the more you lose to heat. But a thicker cable can handle more current with less loss.  A standard, cheap 3' USB cable should be able to handle 2 amps ok. A cheap 10' cable will probably not be able to pass enough current.  You need heavy-gauge wire (well, heavier than the hair-strands you get in cheap cables -- cut one open some time.. there's hardly any metal in there).  The three variables you need to worry about are current (Amperage), wire gauge (thickness), and wire length. Increase the length or the current, you need to increase the thickness. Current here is already very high for USB spec cables, and you want to increase the length -- increased thickness is DEFINITELY necessary.I'm sure there are other manufacturers, but I tend to go prefer Monoprice's 28/24 AWG (American Wire Gauge) USB cables.  I don't see the 10' cables for sale here on Amazon, but they sell a huge selection on Monoprice's own website. They use thicker 24 gauge wire for the power leads, and keep the same thin 28 gauge wire for the data leads, which works out just fine. Personally, I'd buy 18 gauge USB cables, if anyone made them.

Does this work with the PS3? Only Xbox One and PS4 are listed but i'm still unsure.

Yes it will work with any console that has a HDMI cable. You may have to use the included power adapter for the USB cable. USB power may not work with the PS3 or Xbox 360.
