Great series
Unlike the other negative reviewers here on Amazon I conducted my research to know what I was spending my money on. Was totally worth it let me tell you! This game has 3 story arcs (3 games) The play order is Utopia, Install, and Rio. If you never seen the show then I suggest you do before playing this so you can comprehend whats going on. There is a "Digest" option that does a good job on filling the player in on previous story elements but I highly recommend the actual animated show. Thankfully this game has the original Japanese voice cast like the show which I enjoyed very much. No English dub made it into this game which was fine by me because I personally hate Dubs. So if you already love Date A Live and don't mind visual novels with rich characters and writing then I say give it a shot.

STOP CENSORING GAMES SONY
I love date a live as kurumi is my favorite character of all time but this game is censored and I will not support CENSORED games. You can buy the uncensored game on steam as I just did. So for Sony has lost over a hundred bucks from me and will continue to lose money from me. stop censoring games sony

It's a great game
I absolutely love this game just as much as I loved the anime (that's a lot). It's great to be able to play all three games on the PS4.

No english dub
I was SO excited and waited months for this game to come out; knowing Idea Factory makes some REALLY good Neptunia games with english voiceover characters. When I finally received it and installed it...there was NO english voiceover setting, only the text is english and all the voices are in Japanese. Huge, HUGE dissapointment. Couldn't even get past the first voiceover with my ears ringing.

This is not a video game.
Date a Live:RIO-Reincarnation is so irritating for me for the similar fact that it's a game that plays itself. Even more irritating then that it is it's not a good self playing game either. The Dialogue feels like a chore, and the options you get feel like they don't matter. The Digest:The Digest in RIO-Reincarnation is excellent, it fills the player in if they haven't watched or completed the anime, but what if you have? Well this is where the problems begin. You are REQUIRED, to sit through the digest if you want to start a game. No option to skip or start blind, you are spoon fed every detail weather you like it or not and this is frustrating.Shido is a silent protagonist, why?:Besides the Digest Shido is completely mute, and I guess you could say that's because it would make it more personal for the player, but when it's an official character in their own world and not a character made by the player this is a problem. This feels lazy, I expected Shido to be vocal but he doesn't say a word after the digest. This however could be fixed by simply making him vocal with the option to toggle him off, I like my established characters to have voice lines. This Video Game doesn't have any Game in it:The thing about Dating Sims is they each have their own twist. Huniepop had puzzles, Doki Doki had horror and Poems. Date a Live has no such things going for it. You choose the location to meet up with a girl and that's it. No menu to check your Spirit's happiness meter, no gifting, no asking questions or getting more personal with the characters and their world. This is boring and makes me not want to play. I want to feel engaged, I don't want to sit through dialogue when I could be playing a fun game that doesn't cost 53$ like Warframe, LittleBigPlanet, The Last of Us Remastered which was released for free this month, or hell even another dating simulator. This games Dialogue is a Chore:In dating simulators it's important to give your player the power to go through dialogue at their own leisure. However you can't just press X and speed through, you have to wait and the only other option you get is auto mode. Let me go through at my own pace, don't force me to a crawl. The Path is so Narrow:Rio Reincarnation let's you visit one girl each day and then you go home and go through an event that you were going to go through regardless of your choice. I want options, I don't want to have only one of my imputs matter and then have to wait ten minutes to do it again. Games like Huniepop and other dating Sims give you stuff to kill the time like talk to girls, gift them stuff, go home and rest, and go places depending on what you want to do. DALRR forces you to wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, sit through more character interactions, and then you get to call the shots only once?! And then the day is over after that!If you like visual novels or reading, you will love this game. This game was designed much more linear and I guess if you are really into Visual Novels you'd like it. But keep in mind this is a full price 50$ game with no game in it. You are paying for dialogue and characters that you can't control or interact with very well to save your life.
