Just installed this in my 2010 BMW650!I am not a "gadget officionado" and don't have much patience with electronic tech things, but this was so easy to hook up, done in a few minutes including reading the manual. It sounds super on my cars stereo system. Lets see how long it lasts, but for now, I can recommend this without hesitation. I now listen to my favorite music on Spotify and dont need to listen to radio anymore.

It didn’t work for us but that’s due to me trying to upgrade from 2010 to 2019 technology (think round hole square peg) using this little gadget. I’m sure it works great in other cars.

I ordered this product after purchasing a 2012 MCS a couple of months ago. I wanted the ability to connect my iPhone 7 to my car via bluetooth and still have the ability to play music from my phone as well. The MCS has the functionality to connect to the iPhone via bluetooth but only for calls. After receiving the product I quickly found out this product was less than stellar in its performance. The audio quality was sub-par when it was working which was hit or miss (right out of the box). If you are looking for a replacement to the "Y" cable for your European vehicle I would recommend buying the OEM product. I found out the hard way that even though this product was more economical it severely lacked in functionality and in no way replaces the OEM "Y-Cable".

I bought this to use in a 2009 Mini Cooper (R56). No instructions included, but didn't really need any.Pros: I connected to the AUX/USB interface, and Bluetooth pairing with my iPhone X was straight-forward. From there, I switched the car audio system to the AUX input, and was able to stream music through my car's speakers. Woo-hoo!Cons: I noticed, however, that the audio level is not the same as the other inputs, for a given volume setting. For example, if I have the radio volume set for a comfortable level, and I switch to AUX, the volume is too low. The sound quality also lacks depth - almost like it's clipping or using a low quality streaming codec. Strangely enough, if I go into the car's audio tone settings to adjust the "gong" (warning chimes) volume, the streaming volume temporarily increases and the overall sound quality improves - even though it's playing as background to the chimes.Overall, it works and I'm happy to have the streaming capability that this product provides.EDIT: the volume level problem was between the steering wheel and the driver's seat (i.e. me!). My R56 has a setting to adjust the "AUX-Vol", which seemed to be attenuating the signal. When I set that to the max level (5), the streaming audio quality was much better. Bumped to 4 Stars for being a great value solution for my situation.

Worked on my E60 2008 BMW 550i using an iPhone 8. Plugged into the usb & aux connection inside the center armrest. Connectivity was quick, no connection loss, and sound quality is good. The USB port on the cable charges while playing over Bluetooth. If there is a gripe, there is no way to turn off the Asian lady’s voice that tells you that you are connected. Her hard accent is kinda annoying. Anyway, it’s a good product for the price.

Connects great for music, but I cannot get it to connect during a phone call is very difficult. It connected initially and sounded great in phone calls, but I have not been able to get it to connect since. Perhaps it is a setting on the phone or car, so I will keep trying.

For whatever reason, my 2015 vehicle didn't come standard with Bluetooth, but this was a great solution, without a lot of messy cables all over the place. I got it working in a few seconds.The only odd thing is that the usb plug for other devices only works if Bluetooth isn't enabled on the charger - which was resolved by using the cigarette lighter converter. Otherwise, it's a perfect solution for my car.
