"Buggy" is the best description I can give
"Buggy" is the best description I can give. Pro5 was also buggy. After being out for nearly a year, Pro6 is still unstable. Don't get me wrong, I love worship software and have been using various platforms from ProPresentner to EasyWorship to PowerPoint since we started the church in 1999. I really want Pro6 to be as good as they say, but it isn't. Pro6 does a lot of strange things. Doesn't save (they decided to take away the save button). The reflow (text/lyric) editor is a mess. Selecting a template for songs is inconsistent. Sometimes items from the playlist just disappear mid-service. Nothing says "professionalism" like shutting down and restarting a live on-screen program during a service.Listen... we're still using it, and plan to continue to do so until a better option arises; but at the price point for a site license ($800 for 6 computers), they should be making waaaay more stable software. I would take stability over all the little bells & whistles they tout any day. BTW, we're running it on several Macs here at the church, so it's not a "pc issue." We're a medium sized church (1,200ish), with modern worship and descent tech. Aside from songs with moving backgrounds (h.264), we usually have 1-2 video clips (h.264) and 2-3 imported PowerPoint slide shows for sermon notes & announcements.I'm sure this review will get it's fair share of trolls. Like Mac, ProPresenter has a cult following that believes the software developers can do no wrong. Again, it works - but it's not a joy. Our many volunteers and staff members all agree that it's just buggy software. We've been waiting for EasyWorship to get their Mac version hammered out, to see if it's something we'd be interested in moving to in 2017.** Update, Feb. 2016. Well, the "current slide" highlight box that appears around the current slide you on - has disappeared. Try having a volunteer running song lyrics without know which slide in the progression they're on. Tricky. Don't believe me... here's their reply email when I emailed support: "We are hearing a few reports of this happening. I know that in the next version (due out early next week) they did some work on this and I hope that it resolves this issue. If you would like you can download the Seed of next week's release here:[...]So basically they're saying "Sorry it's broken. We hope the next update fixes it."
