Love this grip!
Live it. I’ve had to rearrange my after market batteries every once and a while when my camera does recognize a battery but it wasn’t because of this grip. Whorls well with both canon batteries and aftermarket Knick offs . I’ve never tried using the shutter cable.

Great product
This battery grip came with excellent instructions and was a snap to attach to my camera. I have the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR Camera. The batteries are securely set in the grip, and the camera takes pictures without hesitation or complication.

After market gem!!!
Works great for me. That battery cable could be better if it were a ribbon cable or internally built. Works great with off brand batteries too. I'm glad I came across this gem. It helped me out a lot for portraits.

Not the best
This is not well designed. The shutter button while holding vertical is in the wrong spot. Before you say that it’s user preference, I have owned at least a half dozen grips and the shutter was always in the right spot. There are two wire that are on the exterior of the grip that are super annoying. I cannot figure out why it’s designed this way. The best I can say about it is that its functional.

It fits
Since this was the only grip available for my SL3, I purchased it, hoping for the best. I am not disappointed! It fits well and works as I need it to.

terrible, but what else can ya do?
it got a 2 star because for the price tag, this battery grip is way overpriced. its the only one thats compatible with the body of the SL3, and so i felt there was no other choice. Well there isnt, and im gonna use it, but just know this battery grip is so cheaply made that it feels like it would be worth 15$. whats sad is that for my t5i, i purchased a last second 10$ grip and that one feels better than this 50$ venture. everyone else complained about things that seemed out of the company’s control, so i clicked the trigger. but believe me, between battery placement, an exposed wire, and dont even get me started on how the body is uneven on the grip. sure, it works; it does its job, but for 50$ yea no. i wish there was another option, but since this is the only grip for the SL3; i’l just have to deal with it. this company has clearly taken advantage of the lack of competition and made the worst quality grip on earth and slapped a 50$ price tag on it. also, theres a little bump in the grip that also appears on the image on the box; so its supposed to be there. why in the world would someone put a random bump on the handle of the grip? its as if this company wanted you to be uncomfortable....

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
Due to the nature of the SL2/SL3, the battery grip can only secure with the tripod screw. The battery door on the cameras doesn't come off, so the battery insert is only attached to the grip by a cord and with no other inserts to the camera body, only the tripod mount screw securing it. This would be problematic in any event, but the mount on the battery grip is so poor build quality and such cheap plastic that even the camera not attached, the screw jiggles freely in its housing. It isn't even attempted to be secure in its housing. With the tighten plate and mechanism being a super lightweight plastic, it also doesn't even begin to screw tightly against the base of the camera. The result is the entire grip wiggles freely as you handle it, even if you don't balance the camera with that hand (which completely defeats the purpose of using it). I have never been more disappointed in a product. Thank God for Amazon's return policy. It's going back in the mail the same day it was delivered. WHAT IN THE WORLD?

Great accessory for Canon SL2
I bought this to give extra battery life to my camera, and it didn’t disappoint! It also works well for grip since the sl2 is small.
