Great product
As a mechanic these were a simple install on my 2013 VW Golf. One of them had the retainer band come lose, thankfully the shipping box was over sized, so the rod didn’t poke out and receive any damage. Make sure after you release the straps you prime them, (press rod into chamber until it stops, let rod push out on its own, 3-5 times, more if the rod was already extended upon receipt) the one that came loose took awhile to prime but my ride quality has increased. I’ll do the front struts eventually. You may need to do an alignment afterwards as well.

2011 GTI- old nut doesn’t fit. Didn’t come with a new proper nut
I’m really upset. Why would you ship something without the proper fitting parts for it! Update: I ordered two. The other one included the the proper nut. So maybe they forgot the nut in one box or maybe I somehow misplaced it. It was wrapped separately in a little plastic bag. Genius. Update: I found the missing nut. I’m sorry. You know how frustrating it gets fixing an old car lol.

Great OEM replacement
I replaced the rear shocks on my 13 VW Jetta sportwagon and these were a perfect fit and easy repair. It’s a great affordable oem replacement

A good replacement for OEM shocks
I did fit these myself..I had never replaced shocks on a vehicle myself before..I did struggle with the replacement a bit..do your self a favor and buy a shock top socket before you get started.

After buying new ones I found the nuts in a bag stuck in the bottom of the box.

Works great but was missing a nut for the install. One of the two I purchased did not come with the new nut.

Does not come with mounting hardware
The struts are fine, but After taking apart my existing strut assembly with questionable tools (as you do), taking the nut from the top of the old setup (2009 VW Rabbit) to put on these, they are not even similar in thread pattern, which I of course noticed immediately after I already stripped it. So the struts are fine, but be careful with your nuts.

Did not last a year.
I bought these last summer and put them on in September. They didnt last a year and there was rarely someone riding in the back seat. I tried to see if there was a warranty, as they're still listed on Amazon, but I guess they don't. Going to buy a different brand for sure.
