One thing I really like about them is that the existing shower rod is ...
I've been using these along with my new shower curtain and shower curtain liner that I purchased here on Amazon. These shower curtain rings work very well. One thing I really like about them is that the existing shower rod is one of those 2 piece, expandable type, which is basically one smaller hollow metal rod inside of a bigger hollow metal rod.The problem with that design is that if you have cheap plastic curtain rings like I used to, the rings would love to get caught where the smaller bar goes inside of the larger bar. When that happens, if you are trying to open the shower curtain or pull it closed, the curtain just stops dead in its tracks. At that point you have to basically let go of the shower curtain, walk over to where the curtain is stuck, lift up a little bit to get the cheap plastic rings to pass over that area where the two rods join, and then you can finish opening/closing the shower curtain.Even worse, if you have roommates or children, many times they will get in a tug-o-war with the shower curtain and just keep pulling harder and harder to try to get that shower curtain to move when it gets stuck like that, which will inevitably result in the shower curtain ripping right off of those little cheap plastic curtain rings. These "Roller" type curtain rings have solved this issue for me. The little rollers as the name implies just roll right over the area where the two rods meet with no resistance and solve that problem. These are actually more quiet that the cheaper plastic ones I had. At first I was a bit concerned that being metal they might be clanky when it use, but it ended up being the opposite which was a very nice surprise. They also look much nicer than the cheap plastic type. One thing I will recommend is that since these are metal, and the part where you would pass the shower curtain eyelet through is pretty thing, you should get a shower curtain that actually has grommets instead of just holes punched in the plastic or fabric for the rings to pass through. So far I'm very satisfied with this purchase and after having used these metal roller curtain rings for several months now. The quality on them is pretty decent, not fantastic but good enough to work without problems.I doubt I will ever go back to cheap plastic rings again. I would definitely re-purchase these when I need more again.

Aesthetically nice, but be advised...
So, I spent more money than I wanted to, because we were moving into a new place and I got nice shower curtains and I thought, "What the hell, I'll splurge and get nice shower rings that hopefully won't rust to nothing in a couple years like my last set did." These shower rings look nice and are seeming to hold up well. HOWEVER the circular part isn't exceptionally wide. We have wide metal rods in the bathrooms of our apartment, and the rings barely fit around them and are very difficult to slide. (I wonder if that difficulty is compounded by the fact that the roller balls don't seem to work all that great against the metal rod. Our guest bath has a rod that is both much thinner and plastic and they seem to work slightly better in there.)Visually appealing, yes, but be warned - they're not fool-proof. If you have a thicker-than-average shower rod, or a nothing-fancy metal shower rod, these may not be the rings for you. You may want to avoid the rollers all together. They do for now - they hold up the shower curtain just fine - but I can also see us replacing them in the near future for something that just works better for us. A shame, because all dollars count in a cross-country move, and I feel a little bit like I wasted my money.

Completely rusted in 1 month.
Awful. Difficult to put on needed to bend them to get them onto the curtain. I decided to keep because I thought they would be functional. Didn't like the way they looked very plain and because of the design I could easily the slits on the curtain- no points taken away for this since I should have thought of that before I bought them. The reason I have rated so low is because within 1 month they started to rust. I didn't realize that the rolling balls actually were almost completely rusted! I am so glad this didn't ruin my brand new Zenna Curved tension rod (which I am in love with) or my new shower curtain. I immediately removed them and replaced them with very nice rings I purchased at my local Ross for $6.00 dollars. I don't know how this has such high ratings.. my guess is that people are getting different brands... because mine definitely were not Rust Free. Note: by the time I noticed these were rusting it was past my 30 day window (I waited a few days after I ordered them before I put them on) and I threw away the packaging- didn't even bother to attempt a return or refund.

Looked nice but broke
I hoped these would have been of better quality but the metal is thin. Just putting them on an existing rod the 3rd one broke in half after opening the hook. I went ahead and tossed them all to save frustration.

Great style but try another brand
I was skeptical at first but this style of shower curtain rings are great. Previously we had the archaic plastic circle style curtain rings. Having the beads at the top allows the curtain to move with ease and little noise. My complaint is that these particular rings do not properly open wide enough to fit around my standard apartment shower rod. I had to bend each ring in order for it to fit around with out scratching the curtain rod and then bend it back to close. You could try to avoid scratches by taking the shower rod down and sliding the curtain and rings on. Our shower rod has been in place for over 5 years, didn't want to mess up a good thing going. Overall I would purchase this style of rings again but I would not purchase this brand again.
