Are you able to open the loop on these to add your own charm? I’m new to jewelry making and looking to make earrings for my bridesmaids in 2 months!

You cant open them unless you cut them yourself or use a jump ring. Then You can add your own charms.

what is the inside diameter of the loop? is it the same on the 4mm and 6mm? (a 1mm inside diameter will be too small for me, but a 2mm will be great

I don't have the 4mm so can't tell you on that, but on the 6mm the inside diameter is just over 1.23 mm a 16 guage wire will fit but a 14 guage will not. Hope that helps.
