Great recipe and tea tradition book
My daughters and I decided to start having small tea parties and this was the perfect addition to that. We have made about a dozen recipes from this and have been happy with all of them. Some recipes take specialty ingredients such as smoked salmon, creme fraiche, mascarpone, and raspberry powder. But that said most take things easily found in your local market. We haven't encountered any recipes that take special techniques but we are adept cooks.

Great book with wonderful presentation. I returned it because I was searching for the right cookbook for a gift and this one didn’t meet my expectations. However I would have gladly kept it for myself.

Afternoon Tea for Americans
Went to England recently and learned to appreciate and understand the concept of afternoon tea. The importance of the cakes and biscuits (we call cookies) as part of the ritual. The overall understanding of taking a special time each afternoon to just stop, have a cup of tea or coffee and a sweet or savory bite. Breaks the day, lucky to have someone to talk to during those moments of relaxation. So, this is a fantastic book on baking special things to give as gifts for just stopping by or any occasion. Unique, beautiful and all look fantastic. I'm starting to put a date on each one, so I remember when I tried it. Very excited to find this book!

Very classy sturdy book. Short list or summary of what to expect. 1) Brief history of tea. 2) Mention of few Famous brands/makers. 3) Basic kinds (black, white, green, oolong, Darjeeling, herbal, & fruit) and a little info on how or where they are grown. 4) Proper tea serving & etiquette. 5) Baking tips & equipment needed. 6) Few drinks other than tea. 7) Finger sandwiches & other savory foods. P.S. I'm not big on fish (salmon, mackerel, anchovy, caviar, crab) so I'm very pleased there aren't many(7) recipes that require. 8) The Sweets (cakes, bars, brownies, tarts, cheesecakes, muffins, cupcakes . . . etc.) All in all, I LOVE IT!

A most interesting book with history and recipes as well as commentary. The recipes are absolutely stunning :) I had a tea party and worked off of this book :)

El libro es precioso, lleno de recetas apetecibles y fáciles para bizcochos, pastelitos dulces y salados, y toda la variedad de bakery inglesa para el té. Buenas fotos y bien explicado, he probado ya un par de recetas y han salido muy bien. Para le que le guste la repostería inglesa lo recomiendo.

The best Afternoon tea book I have ever read!
All recipes are fantastic and you can carry out easily. Beautiful and outstanding photos inside. I wholeheartedly recommend you if you are fond of British baking.

Lovely Book
I got this for my friend who was having a charity cream tea. She loved the book and was able to make some of the recipes in time for her cream tea.
