Great ankle brace
Excellent product. I broke my fibula just above the ankle and wore a boot for 6 weeks. This brace is the perfect next step. My bone has healed but my ankle area felt weak and โflimsyโ. The brace gives me the support I need to resume walking and other activities. I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe. Medium was exactly right. The fit is comfortable and the support is amazing. Great price for such a great product.

Great post ATFL rupture
I ruptured my ATFL two weeks ago and was told to wear a lace-up ankle brace. I was worried about getting one on Amazon, but this brace has been great. It fits very well, makes my ankle feel supported, and does not press on the tender parts of my foot. It is also pretty comfortable. I wear it all day at work with no problems.

Strong side support, feels great on my sprained ankle, and solutions to common problems
The instructions are in the Amazon description (right below the photos of injured athletes). I included the photo instructions in my review for those who missed it. I bought this particular brace because it has lace, side support, a low price, and the smallest percentage of negative reviews compared to other similar braces in that price range with many reviews. I read the negative reviews before buying it (I always do before a purchase), and tried to think up of solutions if I encountered the same problems. After receiving the brace, I realized it was too tight, just like other reviewers said. For my foot size 8 1/2 - 9 Wide, the Medium size is the right length but way too tight, even when itโs unlaced. So I cut the left side of the fabric โtongueโ that goes under the lace. So now itโs adjusted to the width of my foot.1st problem is solved. The lace is too short so I bought a packet of lace at the Dollar Tree for $1. I use one lace for the foot part, and another lace for the ankle part and above. 2nd problem is solved. I figured if I received a brace with a messed up, bunched up bottom seam that hurt like some reviewers mentioned, I would try to wear it with a Dr. Scholl's cushioning gel insole (I always have a couple on hand at home) to not feel the seam. As it is I was lucky to have received a brace with a good bottom seam that I donโt feel, so that wasnโt a problem for me. Some mentioned that the velcro separated from the straps over time due to poor stitching. I havenโt had my brace for long so that hasnโt happened to mine so far. But if it does after longer use, Iโll re-stitch the velcro with my sewing machine. If the heel opening is too tight, just make a small cut to the top of it to make it wider. If itโs still too tight, make another small cut to the right or left side of the opening etc. (Iโm giving solutions for those who already have the brace and are stuck with it) I can wear the brace with running shoes and crocs. Iโm giving it a four stars rating because the brace feels GREAT on my sprained ankle and swollen foot (but I might lower my rating after a few weeks of wearing the brace if anything change). The support feels strong. My ankle is firmly secured. Iโm using it only for walking on my severely sprained ankle as it heals (not to play sports like basketball, tennis, or go jogging). For someone like me on a tight budget this brace does the job and didnโt cost much.

Kept my ankles stable and pain free
Tried several braces and this one was the best for me. It's more stable than an ace bandage and velcro-only braces but not as firm as a boot. I was able to wear a sock over it and it fit inside my sneakers, loosening the shoe slightly. I've hand washed it several times and it was easy and dried without altering the brace fit. The only downside is that it does take time to put on and remove because of the laces. It's like ice skates or chuck taylor high tops. Tips: Measure your ankle girth for the best fit per the photo rec. My shoe size indicated a medium but my ankle girth indicated a small. The small definitely fit more secure & comfortable for me but you could possibly have to size up or down depending on how thick your ankle is. I followed Lulabelle's advice and wore over a thin sock. It definitely made it more comfortable and I cut off the sock toes for more circulation. I also took her tip of threading the laces higher up on the tongue holder. That absolutely kept it from bunching up.

Great for ankle sprain/rehab
I have a grade II ankle sprain and was wearing a boot the first week and thought I didn't need to wear anything but a compression sock in week 2. Greatly mistaken, swelling and pain came back so I'm using this brace as an interim, not the easiest to do by yourself but def supportive and in less than 2 days of wearing the swelling has subsided and the pain at night. Highly recommend and much better than any otc neoprene sleeve thing at drugstores

Brace does its job but rips up inside of show from straps
I've worn my fair share of ankle braces over the years from being hypermobile and playing competitive sports. This brace does what it's supposed to and is somewhat comfortable for a brace. It doesn't have any hard plastic inserts (nor does it claim to, only stating that in case someone thinks it does) so the support provided is moderate compared to something more rigid. The reason I'm giving it three stars is because it torn up the inside of my shoe from rubbing so now I only wear it with a specific pair because I don't want to ruin all my shoes. So, it works for its intended purpose, but I'm going to buy a different brand because I have different gym, walking, trail running, and hiking sneakers and I need a brace that won't damage them.

Best of 3 ankle braces, neoprene padded comfort
I had a broken talus bone and my orthopedic had suggested I get an ankle brace a few weeks after I was in a boot. I bought 3 ankle braces from Amazon to try to find the best fit. Like shoes, they may fit some feet better than others. So please use the reviews as reference only. I tried the Z athletics, which resembles the closest to the popular ASO brand but with a significantly smaller price tag. I was so hoping Z will work but sadly, it didnโt. The ASO brand, which had a lot of positive reviews (and was also the most costly) didnโt work for me either. In the end, the Sneino fitted the best. The soft neoprene was cushiony. The sizing fits very nicely. It took me a few different tries over several days to figure the best tightness - how much to tighten the laces - in order not to cut into circulation while still offering support. For those reviews that complained itโs too complicated to put on, itโs NOT if you follow the steps. Get on YouTube, there are plenty of videos demonstrating how to put on. My orthopedic doctor showed me how to properly put on one (I didnโt buy it from the doc figuring the clinic probably would charge me more than amazon!) which Iโm sharing here in my video. You are supposed to flex your toe and at the same time push down your heel into the hole to get the best fit before working the laces. Skip lacing the last two eyelets when you first put it on or youโll have difficulty putting your hurt foot through the brace. You also want to remember to first strap the side where your bad ankle is to give max support. I also learnt the 1 finger test from my PT. Watch my video for clearer explanation. It does take a few mins to put on, more than putting on a regular pair of lace shoes, so have patience and plan ahead before leaving the house if you are wearing it out. There is another brand that offers pre-laced brace with a Velcro which saves you time from tightening every lace eyelet but that costs a lot more money so I didnโt consider. In the end, I still elected not to keep the brace because itโs not very useful wearing outside since I couldnโt wear the brace inside my shoes. I had to wear my sonโs shoe that were two sizes bigger in order to fit the brace. That didnโt work out very well because the bigger shoe didnโt give me the stability that I needed. At home, I didnโt wear it as my PT was encouraging me to exercise maximum mobility to improve strengthening and recovery. So, after a while, the brace was just sitting there. I think if I had hindsight of my whole recovery process, I would have started to wean out of my tall medical boot earlier into this ankle brace. I started trying this brace at week 5 from date of my accident, a little late. To be honest, I wore the boot a little too long because I was reluctant to get out of it since it gave me a lot of security as my ankle was still swollen and fragile and wanted the protection from the knocks and bangs you could easily get from just moving around. The boot (and crutches) also gave me a lot of respect when I was out and about! People could visibly see you are hurt and give way to you, hold the door, be more patient etc For reference, I got a size S for the Sneino brace. My shoe size is between 6.5-7.5W, larger end for boots. The front of my foot is wide but rest of my foot is narrow/ slim. Iโm about 5โ1, 100lbs. See my comparison review against the other two brands to get a better feel. I hope the video review helps those shopping!

Not what it says it is.
Iโm confused by this product as it has no laces. I reread all of the description and looked at the pictures and they are supposed to have laces. The one I received has just Velcro straps. We will try this one on and see the support it gives.

Very useful
Was recommended by my sons doctor, this wrap works great for any athletic individual who has injury to their ankle. Protects well. Only complaint is that it is bulky, but will take the bulk over repeated injuries.
