The first time I tried to dim the light, it seemed to not be working. But subsequent dimming and brightening works fast. This is a nice little light. The dimmable version of this light is easier to mount. The single brightness version has more electronics and connections in the base. The dimmable version must have the dimming electronics in the larger plug at the wall. We now have four of the non dimming and one of the dimming in our household and like them all. They have a focused beam that is great for reading in bed.

Lights work great, I installed them on our headboard and they shine down perfect on what your reading.

I like this lamp a lot. I purchased it to go by my bed so I can read at night without disturbing my husband. It has dimming capabilities but it's not clear how the dimming works. I did figure it out eventually but it's a bad design so it's not easy to get to the exact brightness I want it to be. Otherwise, it's easy to install and when it does cooperate for me the brightness levels are great.

I bought this reading lamp as a replacement for my old reading lamp since it did not fit my new headboard. Easy installation, looks great and easy to use. Just touch to the center of the base to turn on/off and press and hold to dim. The only complaint I could have would be that the dimmer is a bit fickle in that you might have to touch and hold more than once. Other than that, great deal!

I just needed something on my wall for night reading; a light that wouldn't disturb my husband. This little light is focused and great because the light comes over my shoulder and I don't have to turn on my side to take advantage of a table lamp. It's very practical, saves space on the nightstand, kind of modern, which is not me, but it works like a champ and that's what I needed.

Good so far. I like that it's sleek and that it's dimmable. It doesn't sit very tight against the wall for some reason after install. Three bracket itself is in tight but the tiny screws that hold the light to the bracket aren't good enough to hold it tight. It's not going to fall off but it taps the wall when adjusting the light angle. It's a minor flaw that doesn't affect it when turning it on and off but still not ideal. I would suggest having tools to use the drywall anchors or at least a bigger screw and a hammer to yank out the extra drywall. Otherwise, it isn't going to sit tight with just screws.

Worked perfectly for the recently constructed Murphy Bed that I made. Fits perfectly with the bed folded against the wall. The lights do have a dimming feature but once installed I realized the dimming feature was unnecessary for our purposes. When reading in bed you want all the light available. This feature, although a factor that was a part of our decision on which product to buy, proved ultimately, unnecessary.

Update: After going to all the trouble of drilling the thing into the all, it has stopped dimming! It only lasted two months!! Terrible quality! From China so go figure. It seems that Amazon is flooded with cheap merch from China. I won't be buying much from amazon anymore. Back to real shops who care whether their stuff works.____________________________Requires a drill and some dexterity to place on the wall. Took me 4 hours to do and lots of problems.
