My new puppy kept playing with the water in her regular water bowl & making a mess on the floor. This bowl prevents her from being able to. Easy to clean & she figured out how to drink from it with no problem. I would recommend this.

I bought this water bowl to take with us when we go camping with the dogs. I was hoping it would keep leaves and sticks and extra dirt out of their water and I’m sure it will work great for that. We have a basset hound and this has been amazing to keep her ears out of the water bowl. She can get a drink and not mop the floor at the same time now lol. The kids can also fill up this water bowl and not spill it as they walk back to put it down. This thing actually works and keeps all the water in the bowl. I wish we bought it sooner. Video with a shake test to prove it doesn’t spill!

We got this two weeks ago and have been happy with it. Pros: Helps keep dirt from getting in water, especially when they have a beard full of it Keeps beard from getting very wet Minimizes spillage while drinking; the area the bowl doesn't get as wet Cons: It is a little difficult to take apart the two parts of the floating disk The outer plastic is brittle, and I wouldn't be surprised if it cracks at some point It may take the dog a little while to get used to it. We showed it to our puppy and held the disk down for the first few times so he would recognize that this is where he was going to get water. He is a quick learner and had no problem getting the hang of it, but it did take a little time on our part to accustom him to it. I would not expect every dog to "get it" right away. I wish that there were a line on the inside to tell me the maximum fill level. I keep filling it, and then when I go to put in the disk, it overflows. Of course, I could put the float in first and then fill it, but I keep forgetting. It would be nice to have the option to do it either way. The floating disk has two parts which I have only been able to separate by putting a fingernail in the groove and prying them apart. Once that first little separation occurs, they are easy to get apart (kind of like nested plastic containers). Overall, I would definitely get this bowl again. I only gave it four stars because of my perception of durability and the difficulty of getting the disk apart. I really like that it helps keep the water clean; I don't have to deal with a bunch of leaves and other random objects from outdoors in the bottom of the bowl. And, if your dog throws up from drinking too quickly, this will definitely prevent it!

I wish I knew about this dog bowl sooner. my Boston terrier would gulp up water and then throw up this white foamy stuff. this slows down her drinking so she can’t gulp,, but also you have no mess on the floor. She loves it. It’s like a new toy and she’s very happy! I don’t have to limit her water anymore due to this issue because she can’t lap up all this water before eating food. I would highly recommend this product. It’s been a lifesaver for me.

Works ok. Our golden doodle drinks and drip water all over our hardwood floors. After getting this bowl she would just get frustrated and put her paw right in the bowl and push the float plate down. After training her not to do that it's a bit better but she still manages to get her face wet and drip water all over just not as much. One issue I do have with this bowl is that it's BIG and holds a lot of water which really the bowl needs to work well. Even with our 11lb dog and 30lb dog using it and they do drink a good amount in a day the water lasts. I guess to some that would not be an issue but our dog likes to eat and drink and food gets in the bowl all the time. You can't see if there is food in the bowl or of the water is dirty bc of the float plate in there and to pull the plate out you need to snap off the rim. We end up throwing out a lot of water and washing the bowl daily because of this and we only use spring water for our dogs so it's a lot of wasted water. The bigger issue I have is the float plate is not a solid piece. It is two pieces that slide together. Water gets trapped between these two plates which can cause mildew. I'm not sure if your supposed to but you can pry them apart but it's not easy and then getting them back together is just as painstaking. This is the only way I found to clean out the old gross water. Doing this daily is very time consuming. There has to be an easier way to keep dogs from getting their whole face/beard wet when drinking

TL;DR - The water bowl is excellent: durable, affordable, effective, easy to clean and use. The customer service team is dedicated. I’ll be buying more of these as gifts for my many dog owner friends. ———————-////—————— I got this dog bowl because I have a narrow kitchen & any bit of water is a slippery hazard; I hated constantly having to change a mat or a towel because it’s a high traffic area, prone to cooking messes, mud/dirt, and water. The water bowl works exactly as I’d hoped. The plastic ring keeps the floating disc securely in place, and the disc helps keep out random debris that would make the water dirty in a regular wide, open bowl. When the bowl is full of water, it’s heavy enough that my husky puppy has yet to spill it (she likes to put her paws into the bowls from which she eats/drinks) and I’ve had this product for a month now (spilled water bowl was an almost daily occurrence). The floating disc didn’t take much for my puppy to figure out. I filled up the water a little more than max capacity, so that the water pooled at the top of the disc. The puppy started drinking and continued to drink. I haven’t noticed that the disc it’s too hard to press down or the bowl is confusing for a dog to figure out. I was initially concerned about the material being plastic based; I have had bad experiences in the past with my animals (dogs & cats) developing health problems due to allergies to some plastic products. After a month of use, not a single adverse reaction! The material used is high quality and safe, which was my biggest worry before buying the product. Overall, this is a nifty little solution to the problem of water bowl messes, and the company offers a product at a price that makes it accessible to people on a budget. I love the product, and will definitely be buying another water bowl, if not more—I know lots of dogs who made Santa’s “Good Dog” list :) **Additionally, the customer support staff is wonderful & followed up with me after my purchase to ensure the product was working, dog figured it out, etc. For my response to their check in email, they mailed me a surprise holiday gift (portable, collapsible silicone food & water trays) of another great product. The travel bowl is silicone is dishwasher safe and high quality; I took it camping with me and it worked out perfect through all the hiking. Great service and great product!

I have only had this about a week, but it already appears to have thwarted by cavoodle's fav hobby of digging and splashing in his water bowl any time it is refilled, which is exactly why I got it. He is happy to drink out of it and I am happy to not be mopping up water all the time!
