The Giant Destroyer Super Gasser 3 Packs of 4 (12 Cartridges Total)

They are digging around fruit trees and killing them. Tried other things - fill the holes, chase them. When I see one and it goes down the hole, I drop one in, cover with a sheet of heavy plastic and dump dirt to seal it in. One stick might not be enough for the main burrows, but mine seem to be satellite holes they use for safety. I can't be sure they aren't escaping elsewhere, but I'm seeing much less activity. ** update ** definitely working, one stick is enough for black tailed prairie dogs. The burrows are still there, but not getting used. I guess once the next one comes looking for a new home, they find a reason (or more) to move on.

What I do with these is I stick them in the hole and then set my leaf blower over the hole to make a kind of seal and blast the smoke all through the tunnel system. I'll see smoke coming up from openings 25 yards away. The leaf blower allows constant oxygen to get to the smoker so it burns completely and it pushes it throughout the entire tunnel system. I blast it full power for about 10 seconds and then ease off so the gas fills the tunnel completely. I've had great success with this as I live in the Utah desert and we have a major gopher population. My only gripe with these is that if they get beat up in shipping, several will be lost as the combustible material inside these bombs is easily broken up and rendered unusable.

i have had these take care of pocket gophers for a good long while, and i have had them fail to stop the burrowing. it kinda depends on how well you can stop up the other holes to keep the smoke in the hole. i found that if you can get it lit past the fuse, then drop it down the hole, then get a scoop of dirt on top of it to contain the poison underground it works well. i get to practice whenever the nearby golf course exterminator does his thing over on the greens...i probably eliminate some and send the rest right back to the third hole.

I have used "Giant Destroyers" for years. My local hardware store didn't carry them this year, so I bought 3 packs of 4 ea on Amazon. The manufacturer changed the packaging and design of the product. The fuses are NOT installed now, and separate in package. Instructions say, put fuse in hole, but on 11, the powder/beads inside, just poured out, NO HOLE, and the one with, was more like a funnel. Not one was usable as received. When I got them, you could see some gray powder, and or small gray beads inside packaging. Check the inventory. The "New Design" is a disaster. Not one could be used as received. Looks like a try for "cost reduction" that destroyed the usefulness of every one of them. Please check Amazon inventory for "gray dust" inside package. If there, open to confirm my review. The material to produce the smoke, isn't solid, and pours out the end of the paper tube it's in. NOT ONE COULD BE USED AS RECEIVED. Somebody sure made a mistake when they redesigned the product.

I have used this product before and it has worked. This time it took several tubes of this product dropped in the rat hole at one time to stop the activity but it does seem to have worked. Now I just have to block their return using wire plaster lath.

As far as getting rid of voles... they seem to work. As far as lighting them up with the fuse... I found more than half that didn't light with the fuse. Maybe it is too humid where I live? Not sure. However... I found the guaranteed method of using a butane torch. I have a push button lighter on mine. Just light up the torch, hold the Super Gasser stick on one end in one hand hold the lit torch to the to the opposite end and in a few seconds it'll bulb a little and then light up. I then shove the burning end into the hole and hold my battery powered leaf blower (on lowest setting) and blow into the hole as well. The stick won't blow out but the smoke will travel through all the tunnels. Since you can't see dead bodies it's hard to tell it is effective. I just notice that the tunnels and holes seem to disappear afterward.

I have used these before with poor results. One day I came home and the little %&* pocket gopher was staring at me from a newly dug hole. I quickly opened the hole up a little and put one of these things in, fuse first. I let it burn a little and then covered the hole with a brick. Woo-Hoo. Three weeks later now ... I know, I got-em! No more digging in my property. I am guessing that these work well on a freshly dug gopher hole. Older holes are usually plugged by the little beasts. I recommend shoving a 10 inch piece of some old cut off broom handle to get a good opening. If you cannot feel an open chamber, do not waste these devices. My own humble opinion. Your results will vary.

Okay Folks, Seldom do I prepare a "Not Worth A Hoot" Review. Overall I purchased (12) 4 Packs (48 Sticks) with no kills or success yet... if ever! I have (1) 4 Pack left and have not used it, why you ask(?), they do not work. I have used them every way possible, details to expansive to cover here. After locating main runs, digging across and using these thing in both directions, sealing, using exhaust gasses under pressure, smoke and stink seeping everywhere, then leveling all the mounds and watering down the yard a few hours later, cleaning up etc.,,, "Shazam", next morning new mounds again here and there but this really gets me, "My Gophers From Hell' also go back through the old tunnels and clean house by shoving all the remains of these "Atlas Giant Destroyers" aches etc. up and out of the holes for my inspection and review. One morning after using around 500 plus gallons of water to try and drown them out, again without success and now being completely fed up with the whole thing, I called a professional exterminator in, at great expense and having a 5 Star Rating to do the job! After 2 weeks, 4 tries, I still have these things tearing up my yard. Now early in the morning I go out to inspect and these thing will jump out of one hole and run across to another, stopping along the way to give me that stare and dare look. My exterminator told me he has never seen anything like these demons from hell! I have been reluctant to use poison due to birds, my dogs and neighbors cats etc. but what else can be done (?), "Explosives" like in the movie Caddy Shack?" OMG 🙀That didn't work either! These may have worked for you but my Gophers only get high on them!! Not worth the money, time and all the stink... and that is from experience friends!!
