We tried one of the "screw-on-adjustable" types and it no workee sometime, but did sometimes, but... This kit lets you find the right size that will work, get it installed and have it WORK:-). This avoids someone unscrewing the knobs on the "adjustable-screw" type (if it works) that seems so marvelous, but allows a kid (or fiddly adult), to unscrew the knob, lose the parts, and have to start over again with a kit like this one. :-(

Just what I needed but box it came in was cracked therefore had to find a new container for them.

I ordered these to see if I could replace a zipper pull on my winter jacket.No size would slide on without adjustment to widen the opening. (Yes I had already removed the end clip)Then the zipper teeth wouldn't stay together after zipping.I'm sure that was because I had to adjust the pull.I was able to one that worked at the Sewing store.I will keep these for later use. they might work on a smaller zipper.

Used to replace the zipper on a child’s sweatshirt and an adult winter coat. Took a bit of time and the directions were not that useful but after watching a quick video was able to install each in about 15 minutes total. The kit comes with plenty of replacement parts for future use.

I am giving it 1 star review because the sellersays at About the product that it includes"1 piece of zipper pliter tool,1 piece sewing tool,1 piece cutting tool, with everything you need to repair a zipper."And it doesn't come with those tools, also it advertise them in the main picture but it doesn't include them in the package. So I feel this was a lying technique in order to make us to choose this product thinking that we get something more for this product but it doesn't come with that. Very disappointing practice.

I purchased the kit to repair couch cushions on a sunroom porch. The variety of zippers and pieces available made the repair incredibly easy! The kit had everything needed to replace three different types of zippers. Happy to report I will be a return customer!

Paid for itself with the first item repaired. My jacket zipper now works as new, and I can confidently repair any other zipper that comes my way. Plenty of instructional videos on the web supplement the brief instructions supplied. I suggest you watch some to see if zipper repair is a (pretty easy to learn if you are even a bit crafty) skill you want to master. For me it was a thrill to have my beloved down jacket zip again.
