Antic E-Bike repaired
Working great so far. Used it to repair a hole from a cotter pin in my ebike tire (antic E-Bike by one wheel) I'll update my review if there are any issues. I'm happy with the kit though. 20psi

Works great when used for the correct application.
I bought this repair kit 2 years ago and have performed 2 out of 3 tire repairs successfully. The first attempt to repair a puncture in my wife's tire that was too close to the edge of the tread for a tire shop to repair. This tire was less than 3 months old and had no road hazard warranty. On my first attempt, the plug went in successfully and the stem was sticking out when I removed the tool. When I pulled the stem with the pliers to make sure it was seated, I pulled too hard and the entire plug came out. 2nd attempt was a success and lasted 2 years until last week when the tire got a slash on the inner sidewall. The 2nd successful repair was on one of my tires which also lasted until I had to replace due to normal wear. The unsuccessful attempt was on my son's tire. His tire was damaged by a flat piece of metal, not a screw or nail. This was more of a slice instead of a puncture. This kit will NOT work on slice type punctures. Overall, I'm very satisfied and have just ordered 2 more kits since mine has seemed to disappear. I'll give one to my son for Christmas...even though I suspect that's were my first kit went. LOL!

High Quality and Reliable โ Just Keep the Weight in Mind
It feels very high quality and gives a strong sense of reliability right away. I havenโt had to use it yet, but it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. If youโre mounting it on a motorcycle, itโs worth keeping in mind that it weighs 1.3 lb, especially if youโre trying to keep overall bike weight as low as possible. I purchased the kit without the pliers. The part that feels noticeably heavy is the mushroom plug insertion tool.

3 minute flat fix without removing the tire.
This is the 4th or 5th time I've used this thing. First time was an old trailer tire. Do not run the reamer all the way through. It's stepped and you only need the smaller bit to go into the air chamber. Have put thousands of miles on multiple tires with these in them now. There's no glue, so it's not a "permanent repair". You can pull them apart if you pull too hard. And like I said leave the hole as small as possible. But it definitely works, easily.

So much easier
Comes as described. So much easier than the traditional plugs. No glue needed. Will be buying more. Takes all the work out of putting a plug in a tire

Donโt buy!
Back in the mid 1960s I worked in service station for several years when attending college. The proprietor had a device that was similar to this one in that there was an inserting tool and the plugs had a serious circular arrow head on the end of the rubber shaft. He would clean the hole well, put the plug in the insertion device with some sort of liquid on it that acted as a lubricant and ultimately a sealant. The end of the insertion tool was positioned over the hole in the tire and with arm and hand muscle only was manually inserted in the tire by pressing on the handle of the insertion device which drove the plug into the tire. When he withdrew the insertion tool the rubber plug stayed in the tire. He then pulled on the plug to be sure the inside of the head of the plug was tight with the inside surface of the tire. He then cut off the stem of the rubber plug so it was perfectly flush with the outer surface of the tire. The tire was fixed. Didnโt have to remove the wheel from the car and IT DIDNโT LEAK. The whole process took less than five minutes. So, having seen the Gran Pitstop product I thought it would be similar. NOT SO. THe plugs are small and greasy. The insertion method doesnโt work. And in the video I watched, the person using the Gran Pitstop product was happy because the plug he installed only lost 1 pound of air per hour after he was done. Apparently this is not a final tire leak solution. When I tried it, I could not get the rubber plug to push through the insertion device and they usually ripped as well. This is a fairly complex system to accomplish nothing. It doesnโt work. DONโT WASTE YOUR MONEY AS I DID.

Well enough made, but I could not install.
Had a small piece of wire in a tire on a Mercedes R class, this uses run-flat tires, as there is no room for a spare, thought I would try this kit, then have it along with me just in case. Kit seeps well enough made for the price point, unlike others, with the kit in hand, the instructions made perfect sense, Pulled the wire, probed and reamed the hole, installed a plug in the gun, put the tip on the probe, seemed like a good idea to use the probe to start the tip into the tire. While I could get the probe through the tread, I was unable to force the tip into the tread. Although I'm nudging 70, I'm not that small of a guy, was a diesel mechanic for years, still active, and can still throw cement bags around.. I tried with air in the tire, tried lubricants, tried to beat it through with a dead blow hammer - this was off of the car, so was able to position to my best advantage. No joy, I gave up, and took it over to Discount tire - in my area, they repair for free. Couple of things - would probably work great on a motorcycle tire. I know the run-flat tires have more structure in the sidewalls, not sure in the tread area, but when reaming the hole, I was feeling a lot of steel in the tread. Also, I reamed only to the first step on the reamer, about 3/16", could not really see reaming a small hole any further - why make a small hole bigger, just to fill it up - the plugs are only about 5/16", and are of pretty soft rubber. This may work for you, just did not for the application I purchased it for, I will return.

Excellent. I will put a kit in each of my vehicles
Just last week as the first time hi had to use the kit. I had a screw in my motorcycle tire during a 1000 mile trip. The way the kit is designed I hardly lost any air in my tire and was able to continue riding after a 15 minute repair. Most of that time was spent reading instructions but once you understand the sequence, repairing the tire is easy. I was back in the road in no time without having to refill the tire until the next fuel stop.
