Knitting Tower or Knitting Nancy (with Yarn)

Works well. Could have been sanded better. My kids like them.

I love this and the idea behind it, I was disappointed to find the inside of the tower is extremely rough and the yarn catches on it constantly. My dad took it and smoother the inside out to make it work without ruining the yarn as my daughter knits with it. The instructions are wonderfully done, so I wonder if maybe I just got a fluke piece that was so rough inside.

I taught a beginner knitting class to children, and the ones who used this had an easier time than the kids who had the small plastic version. It's a nice size, attractive, and comes with good directions and pretty yarn. The only complaint I have is that it could be a little smoother.

The wood is not sanded well, so it snags the yarn. Also, it really needs a small tool to help slip the stitches over the top.

Purchased this for my 5 year old. She picked it up pretty quickly, and is able to use her fingers which helped a lot, unlike most nancies that require a needle. It was so addicting that I actually stole it and started a line for a braided rug, so I just bought another so my daughter can work on her own project next to me. I will say a few words of advice: It is larger in hole size and pin size than a traditional knitting doll. This is great for teaching young children, but it means that thinner yarns will not be super tight like with the smaller dolls. But chunky yarns turn out beautifully. I also found that the inside can be a little course, but it is so large a hole that it isn't really difficult to thread regardless. Even so, if you are picky about that, you may want to do a run down with a paper sander to pins and inside.

We love this little knitting tower, me and my little boy that is! My little guy lost his original Camden Rose Knitting Tower so we bought a different more run of the mill knitting doll because it was cheaper and I figured if he lost it that it would be no big deal however, the cheaper doll was so miserable to use that I returned it and ordered this one again. This knitting tower is awesome, easy to use, easy to hold and keeps my little guy happy. You definitely need more yarn than comes with this, but it's enough to get a really little one started until you can order more. We ordered from Palumba on the 26th and received on the 1st, that is super fast especially considering the holiday and weekend!

My 5 year old daughter has played some with this and started working with it right out of the box on Christmas day. I expect she'll return to it as soon as she's finished reading her books and playing with some winter toys in the snow.

This is a great knitting spool for little hands, and does not require the use of a needle or crochet hook. My son (almost 6) uses his fingers to lift one loop over the other. The yarn it comes with is beautiful.
